Hi guys

I joined ATS back in 2005

I made myself a promise back then ......................... 7 is my favourite number

I avoided posting for years

The promise ? If I reach 7000 stars I'll give up the heavy drinking.

Everything has coincided to this weekend, including a flight for Mrs C and I to meet with a fellow ATS'er and his family.

At the time of posting I have 6999 stars.

I promised myself one last blow out and then time to keep a promise, tomorrow night will be my final personal party.

I invite you all

A promise kept is the worth of a man .................. See you Tuesday ...............

And thank you all for your patience

Cody

Yea, I drink beer everyday, lots of it. Double on the weekends.
I decided yesterday to take a break for a while and at least get it under control.
Im sick of the shaking, cold sweats and hot flashes that dont ease up till around the 4th pint of beer.
Yesterday sucked a little but todays not as bad.
My biggest enemy in the past has been my over-confidence after a couple of weeks I always think I can handle it this time and then always end up back where I am today

Well done Cody. I don't drink much these days, Just cant be bothered with it. But when i am in the mood, I could drink a battleship dry. I once spent 98 percent of my money on women and booze. The other 2 percent i wasted

Good luck geeza

I fight the fight all the time

Some times i'm winning

At the moment i'm loosing ......quite badly

The best i have managed is 18 months without a drop, felt great

I find the best way to approach it is just think that's it i don't drink any more

And it seems as if this is your mind set

So once again best of luck.

...I'll give up the heavy drinking.

Have you defined where the line is between heavy drinking and moderate drinking? I've been told (for alcoholics anyway) that there's no such thing as just one drink. One drink always leads to another, and another... So, for you, is there such a thing as moderate drinking?
