ALL MEMBERS: We're going to bring "Ask Me Anything" to ATS!

Okay, I'm here... Ask me anything.

As promised we're ready to reveal who the first participants will be in the new "Ask Me Anything" threads here on AboveTopSecret.com!

We are thrilled to announce that our first official "Ask Me Anything" thread here on ATS will feature former U.K. Ministry of Defense officer Nick Pope and begins on Monday August 26, 2013. We'll send out a reminder PM on Monday morning (U.S. time).

Nick Pope spent 21 years working for the British government and was the official investigator of all UFO reports made to the MOD, he's a fascinating person who has been on "the inside" and we appreciate him sharing his time with our community. He's been leading the effort on the public release of all the U.K. UFO files the last five years and has written several books on the topic as well.

As we indicated in the original announcement thread here: www.abovetopsecret.com... we expect everyone to be on their best, most respectful behavior. Nick is giving his time and his knowledge to us freely and we need to appreciate that. That said, this is an "Ask Me Anything" so as long as your question is genuine and asked in a polite and respectful manner you're fine, anything disrespectful, insulting, rude, or just plain nasty will result in an instant post ban of the guilty party's account.

We're constantly pursuing experts and celebrities that you have told us you want to interact with and hope to get all of your suggested names and appreciate your continued support and suggestions of possible participants.

This may sound a daft question, but if the Q and A is over a 48 hour period, how does Nick get to sleep? or is it an intermittent 48 hours? have I just answered my own question.?

It's not "live", Nick will post his Intro/Opening post then check back in and answer the questions he can or has time for. We ask that they try to spend a minimum of two or three hours each of the two days answering questions, I suspect that most will spend more time because of the intriguing questions the ATS community will be asking.

Will he choose what to answer, or is is it just post per post answering the question?

I have to admit, that is a pretty awesome guest.....
Is ATS gonna be plugging his new video game, The Bureau: Xcom Declassified?
Maybe ATS could give one away to whoever asks the "best" question.

But I sure hope all the Mods will be on duty! Lord knows some of the characters here can be down right mean and annoying. I would hope they wouldn't scare off any other potential "guests".

Looking forward to following the thread. I really don't know anything about this person, but it will be educational, I'm guessing.

I hope all that decide to participate will have the foresight to peruse through previously asked questions so that you don't ask a "repeat question" and then wonder why he/she didn't answer yours.

I have heard that some UFO's (that would be extra-terrestrial ones) are actually extra-dimensional in origin - haveyou heard about this? In addition, I was wondering if you have heard anything about the Grey aliens being extra-dimensional.

From what I have heard, there are tall Grey aliens that are kind of similar to queens in an insect colony, and then there are smaller ones. I have two friends who have seen these,

I am under the impression that some occultists as well as shamans, especially in early and now extinct South American cultures, have various techniques of contacting them in extra-dimensional realms. I did a thesis paper my senior year as a psychology major and corresponded with Dr. Rick Strassman about his studies in California in the 90's that were scientifically sound and involved people meeting with entities in other realms, he used similar practices to the South American Shamans, which for a heads up, no talking about substances specifically on A.T.S.

In addition, I am wondering about a certain class of craft that is a single light in the sky and then becomes extremely bright and is able to cross a large angle (let us say 110 degrees) of sky in around two seconds. Have you had any reports of this? I have seen it personally on occasion and heard others.

During the same sighting, which was around an air force base, I also sighted a flying triangle type craft, which was able to fly at low speeds and extremely low altitude (30 feet or less).

I have no clue what I would ask this guy I'm not from England, and my ancestors were Finns. It will be interesting to hear what answers he will give, I don't know if they will quickly change the subject like American government officials do. He better not start saying something about Benghazi if he gets cornered, our government has exclusive rights to that tactic.

I really want to ask him about the Calvine Perthshire UFO incident.

He had a copy of the photo of the craft which experts believed to be genuine hanging on his office wall until the head of his division demanded he remove it.

The photo apparently showed a diamond craft with two military planes escorting/chasing it.

Did he really not keep a copy of this photo?
