visible part of an ugly, ugly system called (fascistic) capitalism

I know I really shouldn't find this amusing, but I got a good laugh out of it.
You got the title perfect Heff. American Irony, you can cut it with a knife.
Maybe I'm just jaded and cynical, but I have no hope for this country. It is a failed experiment. And everyone just seems to be letting it roll. Our govt. spews nothing but lies, our "news" media broadcast lies 24 hours a day, our children are taught lies in school. And everyone just goes along with the flow. I think deep down they recognize the lies, but they have become so invested in the program that to actually attempt to change anything is so scary it cannot be fathomed.
But I guess I'm no better. I don't care anymore, I just point and laugh and cry and enjoy the show.

Yes, there are some fascistic things going on, but fascism is leftism
Fascism is a form of radical authoritarian nationalism that came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe. Fascists seek to unify their nation through a totalitarian state that promotes the mass mobilization of the national community, relying on a vanguard party to initiate a revolution to organize the nation on fascist principles. Hostile to liberal democracy, socialism, and communism, fascist movements share certain common features, including the veneration of the state, a devotion to a strong leader, and an emphasis on ultranationalism and militarism. Fascism views political violence, war, and imperialism as a means to achieve national rejuvenation and asserts that stronger nations have the right to obtain land and resources by displacing weaker nations.

You failed to mention that government bailout of the automotive sector.
In September 2008, the Big Three (automotive companies) asked for $50 billion to pay for health care expenses and avoid bankruptcy and ensuing layoffs, and Congress worked out a $25 billion loan.[84] By December, President Bush had agreed to an emergency bailout of $17.4 billion to be distributed by the next administration in January and February.

I heard people in the Occupy Movement calling for the end to Capitalism.
Yes but if the "mob" as you call them start to think they rule, as a "mob" of individuals where individual Civil Liberty IS the Guiding Light and Principal - then the pressure's being applied in the right direction, unto a democratic implosion and transformation of Washington, at all levels, undoing all of this insane policy and lawmaking and in the process restoring the country to a true Democratic Republic where the SHOUT of "we the people" conquors all, because a "quiet revolution" isn't quiet and there has to be alot of shouting, but in the right direction, where it counts, and if "they" do not listen (don't get and read Heff's letter), then WE must SHOUT SOME MORE, not you who clings to the status quo and fears a socio-political upheaval.
We ARE at war, a propaganda war for the dumbed down mind and hearts of the hoard and the mob. What we're up against is idiocy and lunacy and a permissive framework for all manner of corruption and madness.
And soon a rising tide of civil conscious awareness will fill the pyramid until that eye opens in surprize to discover that it's toppling and turning upside down!

DAMN IT! THIS COUNTRY IS NOT, I SAID IS NOT A democracy! AND ANY YING YANG THAT TAKES AN OATH TO UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION AND SAYS THAT THIS COUNTRY IS A DEMOCRACY, NEEDS TO STEP DOWN OR BE FRICKIN REMOVED. YOU ARE A DISGRACE TO THIS COUNTRY AND HAVE NO BUSINESS HOLDING ANY OFFICE WHOSE JOB IT IS TO RUN THIS COUNTRY!
THIS COUNTRY IS A REBUBLIC! GO AHEAD YOU YING YANG, SAY THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE, what's that, "to the REPUBLIC FOR WHICH IT STANDS". YOU STUPID JACKASS, HOW CAN YOU RUN A COUNTRY YOU TOOK AN OATH TO SERVE WHEN YOU DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT KIND OF GOVERNMENT IT HAS? REALLY ANSWER THAT QUESTION!!!!!!!!
Before you answer the question let me help you out a little. IT'S A DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC!!! Democratic is a descriptive word, aka: an adjective. Democracy is a noun, aka mob rule. In a democracy it does not matter what the law of the land says, it only matters what the majority says. THE US IS A REPUBLIC WHICH IS THE RULE OF LAW, enter THE US CONSTITUTION!!! This country carries the descriptive word "democratic" with it because there was a time when evil, greedy bastards like yourself were not in charge and who ever got the most votes was in office, kind of like the mob ruled. Their is another place where democracy rules, it's called WAR!
Are you declaring war on those you are to be serving? You do know that a democracy does NOT mean the majority of the money right?

Err, I don't mean to sound like a de-railer... but since we're talking Freedom, Liberty, Self Determination ect
Maybe it would be a good idea (because I've noticed several threads about rights lately) that people actually go check their STATE LAWS and even CITY Ordanances. You know, go take a look. Are you free? Oh you don't say!, what did you find exactly?
How many truths can we ALL find to be self evident today?
Oh by the way folks. Don't forget about what they're currently looking at passing.edit on 23-7-2013 by Nephalim because: (no reason given)
