What a travisty - all in the name of protecting a women's guilty son she destroys artwork worth hundreds of millions of Euros. I mean I have heard of mother protecting son, but this lady has just ruined something that the entire world loved.

Bet she won't be welcome in art museums any more

That's depressing. Why didn't she just leave it buried?

Better yet, drive to another city and leave it randomly in some dry place and alert authorities via pigeon or something. Geez!

Art is relative. It's in the eye of the beholder....

personally, I look at the work of the master painters and I'm just like Meh ....ok......

I'd rather witness a sunset personally.....

Eventually all paintings will crumble anyway in another 10,000 years

Tell me about it, this has to be the dumbest most uneducated thing someone could do to these international treasures.

I've never seen these artworks in real life and now I'll never be able to

The art is valued at between 100m and 200m euros ($130m- $260m, £86m-£172m).

The missing works include Monet's Waterloo Bridge, Picasso's Harlequin Head, Matisse's Reading Girl in White and Yellow and Lucien Freud's Woman with Eyes Closed.

If it's a 404 error then there's something wrong on their end you might just try later. You can also find the article here:

That is what it says.

All the links I try I get the same message.

Not sure why but if it's a 'cookies' thing then that's too bad I'm not changing that either.

Thanks for trying to help guys.

Now it works. Who knows.....gotta love the internet.

On Topic - That's just insane that she decided to burn the art. I hope she goes to jail / prison with the rest of the gang.

Want to know a secret about the wealthy.

They view their job on this planet,
and the reason they have wealth,
is to preserve art for future generations.

This will be taken more seriously than a
hundred murders of common people.
Maybe more seriously than a terrorist attack.

Mike

In this clip the protagonist has just shot an ancient vase to make a point.
The mother runs out and lectures him.
"The rich don't own art, just for themselves.
We keep it for future generations."

I'm using firefox, no problem with the link.

Just lock them up and throw away the key. Unless they can come up with the money to repay the art musuem for all they destroyed. As if they could actually buy it.

How is using another browser being on a trendy train when you're the only one who can see it
It's about performance and speed of the browser, IE is very well known for being exploitable also some other browsers are much quicker and safer than IE, but I am also getting the 404.

As for this it does make me laugh they she burned them, a mothers love has no limits I guess

Thats a bloody travesty and no mistake.

Dont get me wrong, the idea of an art hiest story has all the appeal one would expect in terms of the commission of the act and so on and so forth, but to BURN these items is beyond callous, ignorant, and above all bloody minded.

Philestines.
