Of course JWs will be affected when the world turns on false religion. However unlike the rest of false religion JWs don't meddle in politics or nationalism. Also JWs are used to continuing under ban as they stood up the Nazis, Stalin etc. So if and when the Kingdom Halls are shut down by the authorities it won't make a jot of difference to anyone, we'll just all carry on.

When the world specifically attacks the WT and God's people THEN unlike previously Jehovah will indeed step in to protect them - to the extent that everyone will be in no doubt as to Jehovah's existence.

It's unfortunate that you have such a negative view of Jehovah's Witnesses. In my experience the ones who fail to show love don't tend to stay JWs. Eventually they are weeded out. One only has to attend a district convention and see thousands upon thousands of people of all races meeting together peacefully with no sign of a policeman anywhere, to recognise there is indeed something different about this organisation.

As I posted before - Jesus never said that the true faith would be perfect - look at Peter one of his Apostles - He hardly demonstrated his love, when he denied Jesus. after his arrest and told lies three times to save his own skin. Yet far from rejecting Peter, Jesus on his ressurection, asserted that this man would continue his work that his heavenly father Jehovah had commissioned.

What Jesus said was to look for the fruitage and the love. In every batch of apples, you always find a few that are rotten. They are to be thrown out.... you wouldn't throw away a whole batch of good apples on account of a few being defective.

I don't see any other organisation teaching God's name to the rest of mankind and proclaiming the good news of God's Kingdom worldwide as predicted by Jesus in Matthew 24:14. PLUS I can't find any other Christian faith who adhere to the simple faith of the first century Christians, who do not pollute their worship with Pagan ideas.

Jehovah's Witnesses are also almost universally the object of the world's disdain and again this is exactly what Jesus predicted...because in the main we are no part of the world.

"(John 15:18-21) 18 If the world hates YOU, YOU know that it has hated me before it hated YOU. 19 If YOU were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because YOU are no part of the world, but I have chosen YOU out of the world, on this account the world hates YOU. 20 Bear in mind the word I said to YOU, A slave is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will persecute YOU also; if they have observed my word, they will observe YOURS also. 21 But they will do all these things against YOU on account of my name, because they do not know him that sent me"

What would New Yorkers ban this new year?

According to RT ad hoc survey in Times Square.

The lady in that video at the end talks about banning religion but not spirituality, is accurate as to how this will probably end up, organized religion wiped out with a footnote of "but you can still have your individual spirituality"

Minsters would be state sanctioned for only funerals and weddings.

I will call this now, if Ron Paul gets into power he will curtail the American Empire to the point, you will get your cry of "Peace & Security" also leaving a power vacuum and filling that void will be the UN getting enough power to do what is said in this thread.

it’s not like I’m just trying to win and get elected. I’m trying to change the course of history....history is on my side of this argument and the founders were right. Non-interventions, friends and trade with people, more prosperity and peace.

Ron Paul
2012 Election Cycle

I guess that's why I cheer on Ron Paul, I am not scared of his non-interventionist policy, I embrace it, it would lead to the fulfillment of bible prophesy.

Jehovah may be the name of the Watchtower God, but if it were the name of the Creator of the universe, it certainly seems that Jesus would have at least mentioned that name. He did not.

Some say the name is Allah, some say YHWH (translates as "yahoo), some say it's Yahweh, the list goes on and on. Some scholars say that "God" has 72 different names. WT seems to have it's people thinking they have a trademark on that name Jehovah. Maybe it originates from the Temple of Jove.

Like I said....Jesus never said the creator's name is Jehovah. He didn't say "Yahweh" either. Hmmm....wonder why he would overlook such an important detail as giving his father's name?

That's simply not correct. Jesus was God's son, so rightly he often called him Father, however to say he never used the name Jehovah is not true.

You only have to look at any Bible and see wherever the text reads "LORD" in capitals to see that the original Tetragrammaton of YHWH has been replaced with that word. Many times Jesus used Jehovah's name.

Indeed modern Bibles have in fact put back what was originally there ...such as the Jerusalem Bible and the New World Translation....and on many occasions Jesus indeed used his father's name, particularly when quoting from Hebrew scriptures....

Here's just one example where Jesus directly commanded ALL Christian's to love his heavenly father Jehovah.

(Matthew 22:34-40) . . ."After the Pharisees heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they came together in one group. 35 And one of them, versed in the Law, asked, testing him: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 He said to him: “‘You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind. 38 This is the greatest and first commandment. 39 The second, like it, is this, ‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets.”

Shortly before his execution Jesus prayed to his heavenly father that because he had made his name (Jehovah) manifest and carried out the work he was sent to do on the Earth that he should be allowed to enter back into heaven to be with his heavenly father.

(John 17:4-6) . . .I have glorified you on the earth, having finished the work you have given me to do. 5 So now you, Father, glorify me alongside yourself with the glory that I had alongside you before the world was. 6 “I have made your name manifest to the men you gave me out of the world. . . .

Hmm... well, it just dawned on me....do you think the WT is afraid of the UN??? Do they try to promote disdain for the UN? Or could it be that the WT is still secretly involved with the UN and could it be that the WT has an "undisclosed plan" of reformation for when "that day" comes?

Let's say organized religion comes to an end December 21, 2012. A dirty bomb or a nuke will be launched in the name of religion sometime this year and all the masses will demand certain religions to be neutralized. An old nuke in the wrong hands has always been a looming threat to the world.

Don't think the WT or any of us are afraid of anyone. What else can an organisation do to any of Jehovah's Witnesses that hasn't been done before?

Only today I was reading this account from Gunter Grass

“I Admired His Incredible Determination” GÜNTER GRASS, German author and winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1999, published his autobiography in 2006. In it he describes the time when he was drafted into the German civil defense. In the same book, he tells of a man who made such an impression on him that it has stayed with him for over 60 years. That was a solitary figure who stood up for his faith under persecution. In an interview published in the daily newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Grass recalled this extraordinary person, who refused to take up arms. Grass said that the man “did not subscribe to any of the prevailing ideologies, being neither a Nazi, a Communist, nor a Socialist. He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.” Grass does not remember the name of the Witness, whom he dubbed We-don’t-do-such-things. Researchers of Jehovah’s Witnesses identify the man as Joachim Alfermann. He was repeatedly beaten and humiliated, and then he was placed in solitary confinement. But Alfermann remained steadfast and refused to bear arms. “I admired his incredible determination,” Grass noted. “I asked myself: How can he put up with it all? How does he do it?” After enduring prolonged efforts to break his integrity to God, Alfermann was finally sent to the Stutthof concentration camp in February 1944. Liberated in April 1945, he survived the war and remained a loyal Witness of Jehovah until his death in 1998. Alfermann was one of some 13,400 Witnesses—in Germany and in countries occupied by the Nazis—who suffered reprisals because of their faith. They followed the direction of the Bible, remaining politically neutral and refusing to take up arms. (Matthew 26:52; John 18:36) Some 4,200 Witnesses were interned in concentration camps, and 1,490 lost their lives. Even today, the stand they took impresses many who do not share their faith but admire their steadfastness.

Currently there about 31,000 Jehovah's Witnesses in prison in South Korea. Why? Because they refuse to take up arms against their fellow human beings and subject thenselves to mandatory military service. Just like the First Century Christians. Although they are quite willing to carry out non military civilian service, so far the government has failed to implement an order to allow them alternative service and chooses instead to imprison people simply for being conscientious objectors.

So I fail to see why any of us should be afraid of anyone.

Hebrews 13:5-6 . . .Let [YOUR] manner of life be free of the love of money, while YOU are content with the present things. For he has said: “I will by no means leave you nor by any means forsake you.” 6 So that we may be of good courage and say: “Jehovah is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”

Alethea - I'm surprised you haven't figure this one out.

If as you say "the WT is still secretly involved with the UN and could it be that the WT has an "undisclosed plan" of reformation for when "that day" comes?"

Then why is it that ONLY Jehovah's Witnesses have the courage and the strength in exposing the "image of the beast". They've been doing this since it's inception - before it was even called United Nations. It was Jehovah's Witnesses who proclaimed that the League of Nations will fail only to be replaced by another world organization.

Yet the religions of the world are proud members of the U.N.

Notice this proud members of the U.N:

The role of religious leaders has never been more important in helping to set a new direction for the human community. The World Council will encourage the religious traditions and the United Nations to work in closer cooperation in building a community of the world's religions to work for the benefit of the global family. In a fragile world that grows increasingly violent, we are coming together to further dialogue and to build a foundation of trust so that religious leaders can be an effective and powerful vehicle for peace.

Here's more:

The WCC calls for
1. bringing together the concerns of development and security. By seeking a common and inclusive approach involving the global South and the global North, there is a basis for moving towards a reformed United Nations; 2. a reform that empowers and strengthens the UN and achieves better representation so that the world organization can successfully address the global challenges facing humanity: wars, conflicts, nuclear arms, environmental degradation, AIDS and other diseases, under-development, extreme poverty and acts of terror;
3. a clear understanding that people in extraordinary peril have a right to protection and that if their own governments cannot or will not provide such protection, then the international community has the responsibility to try to provide it;
4. all countries to honour the implementation of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), particularly in implementing Goal eight: to "develop a global partnership for development";
5. 100 per cent debt cancellation for poor countries and an increase of Official Development Assistance, ODA, to the UN recommended level of 0.7.
6. full compliance with the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT); the State Parties to explicitly honour and comply fully with their commitments to disarmament; and accession of the Non State Parties to the Treaty. A condition for any new permanent membership in the Security Council should be a clear and verified status as a non-nuclear-weapon state;
7. the UN to maintain its responsibility to restrict and limit military force in the framework of international law and as reflected in the UN Charter, and not give room for the possibility of pre-emptive military action based on article 51;

Perhaps the NWO plan for globalisation will be how the nations make some kind of future declaration of peace and security - none of us know what form this will take.

True Peace & Security can only come through God's Kingdom, therefore ANY manmade organisation declaring this is surely a counterfeit to fool mankind. All through history the occult forces - with their Mystery Babylon teachings and control of the world's 3 systems, political, religious and commercial via secret societies and behind the scenes power broking have attempted to counterfeit true worsip or indeed to pollute it.

Anyone seen Alex Jones expose of what goes on at the Bohemian Grove - with the world's elite the supposed power brokers behind NWO taking part in the pseudo Babylonian cremation of the Care ceremony annually. Which includes burning an effigy of a human sacrifice in front of the 40' Bohemian Owl - which is a representation of Molech and Ashtoreth from ancient Babylon. Molech who made parents sacrfice their own sons by passing them through the fire. This just goes to show how much world leaders & the elite supposedly involved in this NWO are inter woven with occult forces.

Just like when the ancient Babylonian King was celebrating with his courtiers their Peace as the World Empire using the utensils of Jehovah that they had stolen from the Temple in Jerusalem it was an afront to God. Hence we read in the book of Daniel how the finger wrote on the Wall's of the palace the warning of their imminent destruction which he interpreted correctly. In that very night Cyrus and his combined troops of the Medes & the Persians, who had cleverly almost dried up the waters of the river Euphrates by diverting it's path, marched right into Babylon and overthrew it.

In the same manner any man-made Peace & Security declaration is an afront to Jehovah and his son Christ Jesus who is really the Prince of Peace. Babylon the Great, the world empire of counterfiet Christianity will no doubt celebrate this event, but as Paul describes at it will be a sign of their imminent downfall - 1 Thessalonians 5:3 . . ."Whenever it is that they are saying: “Peace and security!” then sudden destruction is to be instantly upon them just as the pang of distress upon a pregnant woman; and they will by no means escape"

People may scoff and say all this won't happen but as edmc^2 stated people can't say they haven't been warned. Just like when Daniel was asked to interprest the writing on the wall. Jehovah's Witnesses have been warning the whole of mankind that these events will take place and they have urged people to remove themselves from false worship.

And I heard another voice out of heaven say: “Get out of her, my people, if YOU do not want to share with her in her sins, and if YOU do not want to receive part of her plagues. For her sins have massed together clear up to heaven, and God has called her acts of injustice to mind.

Anyone in any doubt as to why the Bible should call false religion Babylon the Great, might like to look at the ATS thread now being discussed: All Roads Lead to Babylon: Mystery Babylon Demystified

I'd love to see Jehovah's Witnesses banished to a land far, far away where they cannot harass people to join their pathetic little cult.

Can you believe these nuts? They had the GALL to show up at my place of work, which very well could have placed my job in jeopardy at the time.

The U.N should ban asshattery and cults instead.

Exactly!

- We can trust the Bible because we have the knowledge that Jesus Christ came to earth to preach the good news about that future Kingdom or world government that will not be subject to Satan's influence.

- We don't have a chance unless God intercedes and removes Satan and the wickedness from off the Earth - which God has promised all mankind via his son and his word the Bible. Nor as he left mankind in the dark about these things - he has sounded out a warning across the globe.

and it all starts with false worship that has brought nothing but shame on God's name being kicked into touch by the very system ie the other two elements political & commercial that has used religion for their own ends.

The JWs are correct: UNESCO is in control of public school education in member countries and determines through each regional Board of Education what is to be taught in school.
Incidentally, when I dropped off my six-year old in Vancouver, Canada one morning, they were playing John Lennon's, "Imagine" over the PA system in place of the Lord's Prayer and O'Canada which have been banned. After that, it is part of the daily syllabus to engage in 5 minutes of secularized Buddhist meditation in which the children are told to empty their minds of all thoughts and focus only on the sound of a Buddhist bell.

Imagine Lyrics:

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace

You, you may say
I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Yes I've been told there is definitely a globalist agenda being taught in UK schools these days also. Some young JWs in school have pointed out to their parents that the things that they have learned from studying the Bible about the governments of the world and the UN ridding the world of diversive false religious beleifs - is what they are learning at school more and more.

Atheism & Gnotiscim are on the march for sure but Nationlism is also being replaced by Globalism!

It's actually more obvious SINCE they are the only ones opposing the UN, that of course makes their targetting more likely.

Kinda like how David Koresh told his people "this is the end tymez!!" when the fuzz showed up at his door. Same thing with Jim Jones in French Guyana, when the Senator came to visit, it was "End tymeZZ!" and he sent a kill team to the airport to whack some poor old Senator. Why did his followers go ape shatz?? Because it was "End Tymzz!!" That's what made Jim Jones go spazmo suidice because once he heard back that his whack job followers had actually killed the Senator, he knew it was "End tymz!" and therefore, everyone who followed him had to die.

But since they were unquestioning dopes anyway, does the world miss them? Hmm, I can't say. All I can say is that the events of Jonestown and Waco, and the machines the produced men like that, is easily identifiable. So what I am describing is how totally reversed your logic is. If 4 million people out of 6 billion, make themselves some odd target of the UN, then it's likely, eventually, that they'll get what they ask for.

I have explained much, and mentioned Masada, hopefully those paying attention can see through the jibba jabba. Just remember that no JW can ever say "I think this:", because everything they believe (believing means thinking), was thought up by some WT dude.

That's a fact they can never deny: Questioning or thinking differently is disallowed in their group. When they say "you can't smoke tobacco anymore", that's it. If you were native American and were JW, and you said "Well, tobacco raw is a holy plant in America." that would not be enough. If you continued to use tobacco, you'd be expelled. This is how groups like these stay "pure". Satan himself seeks purity, and we see that in the example of the Pharisees who washed up to the elbow. They made a show of themselves, and had their full reward.
