Hi, new here, less introduction more questions.

I've searched high and low and come across some "live" posts and "dead" links in regards to changing the personal side bar images, as well as embedding images directly in posts.

That being said can somebody kindly point me in the right direction (aka a working link) on how to do complete the aforementioned items?
