T/S, you better read and get your facts correct, and change the Topic subject.

Obama send drones to kill MUSLIM terrorists, not american citizens per se.

Anwar Al-Awlaki was a muslim....he was also an american citizen, and despite what he did, he was still entitled to due process, and a trial by jury.

would you like more examples?

Does this really mean a drone can hunt and kill me because I am a Christain and I dislike our government actions?

If that is a true fact my home town will be a ghost town as well as many others will be also.

Please explain it very simply so an old woman can understand this.

It sure sounds like the USA has declared war on it's citizens.

Tell me it is not so, please.

you're kidding, right?

they're not doing drone strikes domestically...i believe they'd like to, but so far, no.

i don't think they're wanting to target christians, but that could change

i don't think you need to worry right now, the federal government hasn't openly declared war on the people yet. it's more of a covert war..

So pray tell....will the tactic of follow-up missiles into the first responders to a strike be followed inside the United States as it seems to be as SOP overseas?

Does it ever end?

I really DO remember a time when talk of the Government being out to get us was something so far fetched, saying so openly would get someone shunned publicly. It wasn't that long ago, either.

So basically everything is collateral damage in the blanket war on 'terror'?

The sheer irony.,

Whatever happened to Obama's soul?

Everyone is a potential terrorist to them AS IT SHOULD BE. Have you noticed they have done a good enough job that people are trying to say that Al Queda does not even exist!? Have any of your loved ones been snatched up yet? Chill out, they are doing their JOB - PROTECTING YOU.

I'm truly sorry to hear this reply from you. It changes my impression of what you stand for.
I am conservative and T Party, but there is no justification for drone strikes on American citizens without due process. I am truly sorry you don't see the slippery slope with this, with NDAA, and with the PATRIOT ACT. I do believe that terrorism is very real, but it is still NO justification for the govt treating American citizens as the enemy, and especially for doing it as a general policy with few specifications to narrow down what it means to be associated with so-called terrorist groups. Remember that little snot Pelosi, and Janet Napolitano called American Tea Party Patriots enemies and threats to national security. Do you remember what Judge Napolitano said after that? I agreed with his stance on the subject.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the U.S. and Israel are the top two terrorist nations on earth. We now live in a "soft" police state and in a nation that is aggressively seeking world empire, but it's about to become hard, hard FASCISM. The Fourth Reich is both us and Israel combined. The Banksters and money-junkies go after any nation that seeks to get away from private central banking and/or establish a value-based currency...witness Iraq and Libya. Now, France is after Mali's gold production because Germany is demanding that France pay them their debt to Germany in gold and France, unlike the Fed's New York bank, doesn't have it. Where is all the world's gold? www.whatreallyhappened.com

I know this has been brought up before in a similar fashion, but it looks like MAYBE the mainstream media is finally cluing in that this really shouldn't be "okay."

I guess it also underscores rather bluntly that if you are not on American soil, then the President assumes you have no Constitutional or Civil rights. So, if the President "okays" the murder of another human being under the auspices of "National Security," shouldn't that give others a blanket right to shoot Americans (soldiers or otherwise) for their own justification (jihad, revolution, etc....take your pick)? I mean, if we are throwing rules out the window......

I have no problem with this. What I have a problem with is drawing up assasination plans against occupy and tea party leaders and loudmouths. I mean the media not only ignores third parties on behalf of the democrats and republicans who are in bed with big business, but then the government black-ops go after those parties to preserve its unbelievably sick agenda.

When you are on foreign land and stir-up trouble against american citizens, regardless if the threats are somewhat exaggerated, then you deserve to forfeit your right to life, among other things. This is definitely better than keeping our armed forces overseas in full force and wasting tax payer money for bull#.

Contrary to what you and most others think we do NOT have facism. Facism is simply *national socialism* italian style where mussolini's line was taken out of context to prop up capitalism and deface socialism. National Socialism is caring for your own citizens first by stoping illegal immigration, having a mixed economy, stoping the spread of international capitalism(such as the WTO meetings and NAFTA), having a strong military and not afraid to use it for national DEFENSE, not offense.

Everything was taken out of context on purpose. The winners write history and distort it the way they like. Further there either no holocaust at all OR it was on a much smaller scale then what was published and pushed into the mainstream. This enabled the growth of zionism and the parasitic and terrorist state of israel. I have no problem with jews living in israel/palestine but their apartheid policies and serriptitious methods are frustrating for everyone who wants to see long term peace.

Ummm.....There is no need for fear just yet...that being said the most alarming part of this directive is part b. "an associated force". This is because that part was seperated from the first part so that it was a stand alone statement. "An associated force", is such a broad statement that it means whatever you want it to mean nor does it mean associated to Al-CIAda, only. Couple that with all of the other incremental things that are going on behind the scenes and in your face and you can see where things are headed. This directive, 30,000 drones over America, Lists of "who could be a terrorist", the hollow point buy up by DOHS, the push for gun bans, ordering bases to destroy their used brass casings and all of the other million and one pieces of the puzzle. Look at all of it as a single picture, "the big picture" and turn that fear into anger. Be informed, you should already know the old "prepare for the worst and hope for the best" phrase. Wake up, spread the word and network with other's in your community. The government is not your friend, remember that government is a corporation and will protect "it's" interest...not yours.

And the road to tyranny has already been lay out and pave by the traitors that runs our nation.

This drones and the laws that are getting behind them by those that are in power are the doors to what is to come to our neighborhoods in a no distance future.

The laws is all it takes to make it legal, no tax payers or voters opinion needed, we are nothing but the sheep to be slaughtered for the common good of those that owns us.

Tyranny as its best

Something I haven't seen mentioned here is the future threat of drone retaliation.

They were discussing the drone issues on the news last night (outside of the US), talking about the slippery slope the US is going down.
Future presidents using drones, the countries that the drones might be assassinating people in (far or near future), are they an act of war (what if the "enemy" is hiding in a European country ), laziness - the lack of going and getting the "enemy" for due process.

What about the other countries that are developing drones? Are they going to retaliate?
With all the American technology flying around being back engineered, and China supplying some of the parts
, how soon is it until a drone with American technology sneaks in under the radar?

After all, Americans are going to get used to spy drones in American skies.
How long until one of those "American" drones, is actually from another country that was previously underestimated?

Americans get ready to get called an

*an associated force of al-qaeda .

How can any other country NOT consider this an "act of war"?

That wont happen until the US threatens the head of a different state/nation. As long as the US are only threatening a nations members/citizens . The head of state that declears war. Will not declear war and put he's own life in danger.

Drone technology has already been purchases by 50 countries so they already have the means to turn them into killing machines.

The Spread of Military Drone Technology,

More than 50 countries have purchased surveillance drones, and many have started in-country development programs for armed versions because no nation is exporting weaponized drones beyond a handful of sales between the United States and its closest allies ...

Military planners worldwide see drones as relatively cheap weapons and highly effective reconnaissance tools. Hand-launched ones used by ground troops can cost in the tens of thousands of dollars. Near the top of the line, the Predator B, or MQ9-Reaper, manufactured by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, costs about $10.5 million. By comparison, a single F-22 fighter jet costs about $150 million.

Defense spending on drones has become the most dynamic sector of the world’s aerospace industry, according to a report by the Teal Group in Fairfax. The group’s 2011 market study estimated that in the coming decade global spending on drones will double, reaching $94 billion.

It's very scary where this is all going.
Slippery slope, indeed.

We're going to be watching the skies, a lot more than is comfortable.
Did any of these people who thought the drones were such a good idea, think ahead at all?

Let us not forget this:

U.S. Drone Policy: Standing Near Terrorists Makes You A Terrorist

"It in effect counts all military-age males in a strike zone as combatants, according to several administration officials, unless there is explicit intelligence posthumously proving them innocent," the Times reports. "Counterterrorism officials insist this approach is one of simple logic: people in an area of known terrorist activity, or found with a top Qaeda operative, are probably up to no good."

A.K.A "Kill 'Em All and Let God Sort Them Out". The world has gone mad... and lazy apparently.
