So if 10, 000 missiles were to rain down on Israel, carrying payloads in excess of 10 of thousands of kg of high explosives, cluster warheads carrying as many as 1500 bombs, supersonic missiles, sub sonic missiles, Scuds. What the # is Israel going to do. Try to shoot them down?

They fired multiple interceptors to take out unguided, inaccurate, sub-sonic garage built 15kg warhead rockets during the gaza conflict and some of those still got through. Seriously, if this kicks off, Israel is going to suffer immensely. This will be no walk in the park, even with US Aid, Iranian Ballistic Missiles pose a very serious threat to any they are aimed at.

Iran, also possesses jets, an angry bloodthirsty army, their own navy(though small). They could do some serious damage to Israel if given the chance. Let's not give them any more reasons.

If only it was that simple, it should be, but the USA and Russia have a habit of fighting wars in the middle east using other populations to check out scenarios, and now China wants to play as well.
