By the way, can the GOP fanboys stop playing victims, good lord.

Why when it works so well for the Democrats?

Sex offender is meaningless term today. Such a label means he could have been arrested for anything from taking a call of nature behind some bushes to rape. Heck, he could have been arrested for streaking and charged with being a sex offender.

Yo did Bush hire an illegal who was a sex offender?:

Does Larry Kraig count?

Or is it the "hiring an illegal" thing that has your panties in abunch? Cuz if we start to list the GOP that have employed illegals...from nannies to cleaning staff to landscapers...you are in for a long ride. From Mittens through much of the current serving GOP.

Now...what I posted is that DHS and ICE apparently don't arrest/deport folks if doing so had the potential to be polticized right before an election.

They had the same policy leading up to the 2008 elections.

Whether that is a good policy or not can be debated, but implying that it was a partisan decision is unfounded and without evidence.

This is the topic:

U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez employed as an unpaid intern in his Senate office an illegal immigrant who was a registered sex offender, now under arrest by immigration authorities, The Associated Press has learned. The Homeland Security Department instructed federal agents not to arrest him until after Election Day, a U.S. official involved in the case told the AP.

Apparently some can't or do not want to talk about it they throw everything from the kitchen sink to Bush,Romney to deflect

The prosecutor's office in Hudson County, N.J., said Sanchez was found to have violated the law in 2010 and subsequently required to register as a sex offender. The exact charge was unclear because Sanchez was prosecuted as a juvenile and those court records are not publicly accessible. The prosecutor's office confirmed to AP that Sanchez registered as a sex offender, although his name does not appear on the public registry. The acting county prosecutor, Gaetano Gregory, is a Republican.

www.usnews.com...

He was a Juvenile at the time...which means it could have been serious or it could have been hijinks.

When I was sixteen and "parked" with my girlfriend (who just turned 18) in a parked car, a couple cops interrupted and threatened to arrest her for statutory rape of a minor. I think my mouthing off to them might have provoked the nonsense. They demanded that she get out of the car before she fully got dressed and I told them ef off. I also told them that if she got arrested I would be quick to explain to anyone who would listen that they didn't permit her to get dressed and were oggling a teenage girl.
This guy was charged while a minor, it could have been nonsense or it could have been serious...but they opted not to list him on the public registry of "sex offenders" which makes me think it wasn't serious, but who knows.

On a side note:

A spokesman for the Homeland Security Department, Peter Boogaard, said in an email to the AP that ICE followed standard procedures working with local prosecutors before taking what he called "appropriate enforcement action." Boogard also said AP's report was "categorically false." He did not immediately respond to a request to specify what might be false.

If the AP has solid sources that this was delayed, they need to drive the ball on this. Whatever the circumstances are, the truth is important.

"Christians are under attack"
"White people are under attack"
"The media is liberal"

Oh please

"Republicans hate poor people"
"Republicans hate old people"
"Republicans hate African Americans"
"Republicans hate Hispanics"
"Republicans hate women".
"Republicans want people to breath dirty air, and drink dirty water".
"Koch Brothers evil"
"Republicans sold the poor, and middle class out to the banks, and corporations".

The clueless agenda is ruining America where the Left plays the victim card more than any group in this nation.
Care to point out when a republican has ever hired an illegal immigrant sex offender.

Also the fact that this Senator should be arrested immediately for violating a law that any other citizen would find themselves in a cell wearing handcuffs if they would have knowingly hid a sexual predator.......

How do we know this senator "knowingly hid a sexual predator"?

We do not have all the facts and I think it's silly to make an issue out of this.....just like anyone making a big deal about Romney's lawn workers.

It's just stupid distraction if you ask me.

Must have mistaken me for a Democrat the last election proves it

All i hear is how helpless people are and they need the Democrats and the government to save them.

And someone has the nerve to say that specifically "talk like they have no power".

Hmm

Be that as it may, is he or is he not considered a sexual offender???

Would you be saying that if he had molested or raped one of your relatives???? Throw down your pom poms and think about what you are saying! Forget about the two team strategy for once in you life and admit that something smells funny and it is wrong!!!

Sounds like what is happening to we the people by our own government, don't you think? Ever hear of Al Qaeda?

The point of this thread is not a left or right issue really. It is a government official AND organization that has broken the law by harboring and protecting a fugitive of the law!!! As well, as most likely violating some form of election fraud!!!

Hmm where'd you hear that? FOX and friends? Maybe it's you who needs the English lessons instead of the immigrants you're always crying about. Stating the social safety net needs to be left alone until we figure out how to get America back work is not crying to be taken care of. Grow up.

What the hell does that personal snip have to do with the topic of a Democrat hiring an illegal sex offender?

What?

Or the consdescension?

Or Fox?

Not a damn thing.

Someone needs "how to stay on topic lessons". and someone does need to "grow up".

All of us have room for growing up including myself.

I think if we could all drop the blame game and look at this story for what it is, we can all see how those in charge manipulate the masses and tell us everything we want to hear but then once elected they do whatever they please!

As I have stated many times in the past, I think the two party system is nothing more than a devisive fraud to keep us hating on each other while ignoring how they "Equally" screw all of us over! Believe it or not, "We all have a lot more in common than we think!". Believing in this two party fraud, does nothing more than preoccupy us with hating each other, versus coming together and putting a squash on the corrupt mafia we call our government.

The title of this topic was taken from Drudge that was linked to the AP article, thus the header I used. The irony of a Democrat being involved in this was too epic for me to pass up. So perhaps I am guilty of calling out the Democrats in this case, it does not mean that I feel any love for the Republicans either.

If those of you who still play the two party game want to rip each other to shreds, then by all means, it isn't my place to stop you. But that is not what this thread is about. It is a blatant disregaurd to our laws that each and everyone of us have to live by, but yet because this is a Senator, nothing will be done and it will be business as usual until the MSM comes up with some other story, while we allow this injustice to float right on by........

" I think you have to be in order to join the club." My family was involved in politics in Illinois. My father told me that if I was to go into politics I had to commit a crime that was known. That it would be better for me to pick a crime that wouldn't bother me so much as one TPTB would pick for me. The idea was if they have something on you they would trust you. I did not go into politics.

I have never heard that one before, but it makes perfect sense! They are all guilty of crimes against their constituents and the United States of America!

But as long as we support their fraudulent charade, we are as much as part of the problem as are they...

I think we all damn well know that the party is over in this country. We have watched our jobs shipped over seas, the banks steal what money that we have left, AND YET!!!! We bow down to them and believe that they will make our lives better........
