Congrats to my friend Druid42 on his decisive victory in 2012 debating! A 20 point lead! That's pretty well insurmountable, and is a credit to your huge involvement in the ATS Debate Forum!

My reply to TinkerHaus in the Society would be better without a monetary system is up. Very hard to limit the information I had in there, when there is so much to talk about.

Kudos to TH. I thought you did a great job with your opening post!

A good reply, however, you need to better differentiate between things you're quoting your opponent as saying, and things that you're citing from others. For example:


An interesting statement you made was believing I would argue this point.

money provides a necessary incentive for people to be productive.

Communism, actually proves this point.

State own firms have less incentive to increase efficiency (eg they do not innovate or conduct R and D). Laborers have little incentive for hard work, resulting in decrease in productivity

Is very confusing. Better is to cite your opponent in a "quote" tag, and your citations of others with the "ex" tag, along with a link, such as:

That's from nearly 6 months of solid debating. You didn't do too shabby yourself.

My question: (Sky?)

Do the points reset on a yearly basis? When do we call it a "season" and all go back to zero? What's the official ruling on that? Just curious!
