There are two sides to every revolution. The 'activist' side and the 'information side'.

Spreading the good word is just as important. The internet ends up being convoluted however and isn't the most effective way of passing information. Only because of the disinformation that exists.

Then again, maybe more people working at it could stem the tide of disinformation.

Going out in your community however, being active at public events and trying to change the minds of people is always the first step in any peaceful revolution.

I could not agree more. I volunteer at a homeless shelter every Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00pm, and I spend a great deal of time talking with people about their different views and opinions of the world and America. I could spend all day on my computer giving the world my opinion on how it should behave, but until you actually go out there and spend time interacting/communicating with the people who are living on this planet, how can one truly say that you’re making a difference in the hearts of men? I don’t believe half of what I see people spat here on ATS. Now if we got together in person to discuss such matters, I would be more willing to believe or take part in what he/she was proposing. There are a lot of people running around online with some awesome views, but gods forbid you take them away from their computer.

Yeah. I agree.... I know I'm not alone in having a page of a notebook for those little notes..I've seen too many other members talk about the same thing. Thats quite a thing to say on a site like this and during this period of time too. lol.... Red flags to the bulls

I just cannot fathom thinking in this manner....it's completely foreign to me. Isn't the love within a family more important than the sexual orientation of parents? Isn't it more important for children to witness a loving relationship between two parents? Or is it better for them to witness the unhappiness that a parent tries to mask when they have to suppress their true sexuality?

I swear, sometimes I really don't want to live in this world...not one that supports such ignorance and hatred. It's disgusting.

I wonder how many of this congregation are business heads or supporters of businesses in charge of minor "care" that have been under investigation in the last few years. Ala something like in jibeho's post recently www.abovetopsecret.com...

Great post Tenth!

Thanks for bringing this disturbing trend to nod silently in support of extremist ideals to the attention of this site, it's my estimation that all forms of extremism must be marginalized until we can all have an adult conversation without the "grown" children mucking everything up.

the interesting part is that statement of "underground tunnels". Where did the man get such (crazy) ideas??
...the answer is ofcourse the existing, non-public, underground network of trains, connecting the whole world.

And Im not even kidding

Quite frankly, I've been waiting for the moderate/reasonable Christians to speak up. I can see and understand how it would be hard to do, plus we all have this innate feeling that we are obligated to either protect or or at least be apathetic to the actions and words of the more extreme members of our "group".

But this is just getting out of control. Im totally aware there are bad apples in every group, but eventualy it becomes systemic or a state of mind, if not kept n check.

We now have this man saying CHILDREN SHOULD BE KIDNAPPED from their homes and loved ones because of a PERSONAL belief they have.

We have Pat Robertson declaring on his ABC Family, prime-time show that the LGBT community should either pop out a kid or shut up if they are going to be so focused on the parts between their legs anyway.

A video shows a man thratening an LGBT supporter with rape and takes her boyfriends license plate and will find and kill him. He also says he will be inside her so many times and will enjoy raping it. He has a bible in his hand the whole time. Police did NOTHING and simply called it a disagreement between opposing protesters. Since when is saying you WILL find and KILL someone considered a disagreement rather than an illegal act? Since the extreme part of a group has stepped up the rhetoric that DEHUMANIZES those who have a different belief than they do. This might have been a very extreme case, but the officers not doing anything about it, as if someone has the right to make someone fea rfor their life and look over their shoulder, is what disgusts me the most.

People like this sure as hell wont listen to someone like me....but they sure as hell would listen to people who have the same belief but draw a line at wherE the debate ends and the hatred and calls for deplorable actions begins.

Theres a big difference between an agnostic like me and a true believer like them sending a letter, email, or leaving a comment on a web page to condemn their words. Who do you think they'd listen to more? Especially, if more and more people do it.

Its one thing to be ostricized from a group of people you don't share beliefs with. Its another to be ostricized from your own.

You know what....this is inhumane to suggest that children being raised by same-sex couples must be `saved` from loving caring parents simply because of the sexual orientation of the parents. To my mind, it does not make logic at all. How does the sexual orientation of the parents have anything to do with their ability to raise a child in a loving caring environment? I really do not understand the logic behind it at all. Humans love children and want to care for them.

The state probably should get involved and ban (sorry folks but some things should be pre judged) the adoption of children by same sex couples. It does not promote a traditional family.

Neither does divorce/one parent family, abuse in the home, poverty, etc., but that doesn't mean children should necessarily be taken out of the home.
Love is what makes a family a family... and regardless of how it might sound, love is still real and not naive'.

Like for example what's a non believer do "Okay kids watch this gay pride parade on TV. See those guys kissing and grinding, that's totally fine and you should be okay with that, and if you want to do that with your friends and school I'm okay with it.". Like get real, normal parents don't do that. So lets get real here.

Normal gay parents don't do that either.
You're speaking in terms of extremists and extreme behavior. For instance, I'm not gay, but if I were and I knew that people acted out in ways that I disagree with.. I wouldn't take my children to a gay parade [knowing that they might see poor behavior]. But I'm straight, so I'll just say that I wouldn't take my kids to a bar fight either.
