Perhaps I can clear up some misconceptions.

With the coming of Christ, a new covenant was made. The laws of the old testament, laws given to Moses by God on the mountain, were rendered null and void.

Yes, there was a new covenant but with that covenant the Laws given to Moses were NOT rendered null and void. Christ came to FULFILL, not abolish the Law. He fulfilled the sacrificial law and removed the need for a blood sacrifice. The laws still stand, though. We are just not SAVED by them. Our works (adherence to the Law) merely shows our love for the Most High. Christ said if you love me keep my commandments. James wrote that faith without works is dead. And Revelation points out that our works will be tested in the fire. So our works DO matter.

While not a Christian, I have spent much time researching major religions looking for my own personal truth. ...having worked jobs that give me a good deal of free time, I've read the book twice, cover to cover, over the past several years.

Reading a book is not the same as understanding a book. I could say I read a book by Stephen Hawkings cover to cover twice. That doesn't mean I understand everything he said.

Oh my volcano!!! You sound like you're reading from a script! In fact, given the constant babble between Christians about the 'rules' of the religion, I think maybe a formal script would be a good idea. That way you can all put your heads together, make sure you're all in agreement and then stick to it. Then you won't have to spend a large portion of your day arguing with other Christians on whether you are heading for a saving or a lava frying.

By the way, why would an omnipresent god be given the nickname 'Most High'? How can something that's everywhere also be high? When added to the nickname 'My Rock', can we assume your god is a high rock?

I actually think you long to worship volcanoes and see them at every turn if your life. That's what I am convinced of. Jesus Christ delivered me, saved me, freed me from my addictions, and healed my back miraculously, pretty amazing for a volcano huh?

Placebo effect. Amazing stuff.

You're only here to spam your blog. That's it, you've done nothing but spam your blog since you've joined ATS. It appears you worship/venerate vilcanoes and want everyone else to do the same and are spamming for traffic for the blog you have.

Why do you continually deny that much of the imagery that a volcano invokes is used to describe the attributes of the tribal god Yahweh in the Bible?

Couldn't it be that these people had memories of volcanic destruction and attributed that destruction to their god?

Yeah, I only kinda skimmed your volcanic arguments, and that made me only want to skim more, and I don't think I will be reading your blog anytime soon. You're still wrong about Jebel al Lawz, and your argument is still invalid.

I answered that a long time ago. The other member is just spamming their blog. They are obsessed with volcanoes and it's getting a tad weird. He or she has even named their blog after volcanoes. Look at this member's profile, all their activity here has been to post about volcanoes and spam their blog.

You've been judged by your actions. Is there any thread you've posted in that you have not mentioned volcanoes or your blog? Link it here if so. I actually am about 95% sure you are another member and are doing this on purpose to derail threads and plug your blog so that your original account isnt banned for it. Ive seen your types come through here randomly before, nothing new, you're just a spammer, and a fundamentalist without God.

You're getting your knickers in a twist again Petal.

What else am I going to talk about in Abrahamic religion threads if not volcanism? I find it a bit weird that I need to explain myself to you. Are you that programmed you are totally unable to understand what my thinking is? Your Old Testament deity was volcanic activity. I.e.....there was no Hebrew god. They made a mistake. They didn't know that those mountains of fire (why didn't they call them volcanoes) were nothing other than normal natural occurances. They assumed there was a man-type entity inside/on top of them and that terrified them....a bit like the Wizard from the Wizard of Oz. All I'm doing here is pulling back the curtain so you can all see there is nothing to be afraid of. There's no god, no hell, no heaven, etc. Best of all, nothing is going to consume you in fiery wrath. Now, isn't that nice?

My blog is an information site and not a profit making one. I know you prefer profiteering websites and prefer to trust the word of people who make a living off their word, but my word is free.

TheFogHorn has a message to disseminate, just like you. If I looked at your profile and posting habits I'm sure that I would find that you spam the boards with pro Jesus, religious dogma a scriptural regurgitation.

Lots of members post according to their passions, and link their work that is expanded upon in their blogs.

Posting my thoughts and opinions isn't "spam" unless it's a copied message pasted on numerous pages. His blog site is what is spammed here in his forum and the member just admitted it above. That's a T&C violation. The other member read the terms and conditions here when they made their account.

I've posted links to many sites. My site just so happens to contain the only compilation of information on the subject and is therefore more likely to be used.

Is this your last resort? Attempt to have the thorn in your side pulled?

You need to read rule 15a of the T&C thread:

T&C

You're not above the rules, you have to follow the same ones we all do.

It's worth noting I've not once objected to the insults leveled at me nor pointed out in a pedantic way the rule against personal insults. Tell you what, if it makes you feel happier, I will post the content whenever I can rather than posting a link. Is that better for you?

No one is insulting you. You have to follow the rules you agreed to follow when you made your account and agreed to the T&C. If you feel abused and insulted alert the moderators with the tab under the member's avatar. You cannot spam your personal website or blog. You need to pay for advertising like other people do if you want to generate more traffic.

She has admitted only that she occasionally has linked her blog, where she has extensive work to back up her theory. Quoting scripture, even if it is repeatedly, isn't spamming.

Attacking a member personally making accusations against them is a violation of the T&Cs. Also, all this [*SNIP*] is off topic.

In this thread alone you have called me 'creepy', 'weird', 'obsessed', a 'spammer', a 'fundamentalist' and 'Dude'. The latter is a bit odd in itself because I've been openly female a couple of times. I did not, however, discuss Christ, salvation, grace or the holy spirit during my openly female moments though, which probably explains why you took no notice.

As you claim to be a firm believer in giving honest and direct yes or no answers, I'm sure you will be happy answering this question..........Do you use the word 'Dude' to compliment?
