Everyone who knows about Christianity is aware of the fact that the Mormon Church is a cult. First of all, they do not go by the Bible as their prime source of truth and law, but by The Book of Mormon.
Why would you need another source that radically departs from The Bible in many of its doctrins if you were a Christian? Not to mention what The Bible says about later day prophets (saints?) - you got to judge them based on The Bible and not The Book of Mormon...

I would concede that their TEACHINGS may, in fact, be "very Christian." However, the fact that Jesus in Mormon teaching is not "true God and true man" but rather a created being negates any Mormon from truly professing to be a Christian.
Dude - - YOUR guy was born of a virgin impregnated by God.
How insane and stupid that one myth decries another wrong.
These debates are many things; insane and/or stupid are not on that list. Back to the question posed by my reference - Jesus, true God and true man? Yes or no?

Since Mormons believe that God lives on another planet, with Jesus, will that effect his views on space exploration?

I am a deist and from my point of view all organized religions are cults.
Any religion that tries to tell people outside of there church how to live is a cult and i do not believe they have any rights to dictate to me in any way. IE Religious harassment.

I guess you could categorize them and say "they all help their community and have excellent family values" but there are lots of people who are that way and aren't Mormon.

Please, everyone reading this....stop and say a prayer from the heart,
asking God to bring about a miracle, for a Godly man to lead this country.
God can make a miracle happen if we pray and fast.

WOW, I'm amazed how Christians can call Mormonism a cult while keeping a straight face. I mean WOW.

More ignorance. Their primary book is the King James Bible. I learned more from the bible being Mormon - - then I ever did in traditional Christian church.
They had me memorizing 4 to 5 bible verses every week.

The Book of Mormon is like "in addition to" the bible. We hardly ever used the Book of Mormon.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
But that's not the point.
The point is the story of Jesus is about as far out as you can get. To criticize another way of believing as unbelievable is ludicrous.

Here's to Romney getting polygamy legalized. That will be enough to get me in his cult.

I think the whole Mormon thing is hilarious! It's like the Americans thought the Bible was really cool but thought it needed a bit of an American twist to it! So they added the whole JESUS COMES TO AMERICA!!! bit!!!
The Bible Part 2 - Jesus Takes America!!!

Can you provide a reference showing LDS doesn't deny that Jesus is God? I would truly be interested in seeing that from an LDS source or one that cites them directly.
