In Fort Collins, Colorado the next generation of Internet is being developed with Perceptual Research Ventures, LLC ; a small company based out of Rockland MD, and with offices in CO. The company was formed in 1986 and became an LLC in February of 2001

~Perceptual Research Ventures: Our Vision:
"We pursue extreme innovation leading to disruptive technologies and projects which challenge assumptions and are rendered timeless by their utility, simplicity, elegance, and subtle embodiment of high aspirations: manufactured meditations, prayers, wishes…and dreams."~

Right...as if this statement is not strange enough.

CodeName: Toltec OR IR-Web > NextGen Internet!!
Interface: Intangible Control or (IC) by PRV

We call it "Toltec"...because of the Toltec legend relating to communities able to share a dream! It is coming folks, and we are proud to have created a core component of this fantastic and historic developing technology.

Also they are developing a technology called iCAML,
“a simple and inexpensive sensing technology that enjoys plural-patent protection”

They claim it may be possible with this technology to....

Create Networked VR Gaming: Imagine being able to walk around a 30' diameter "arena" with no wires attached, and only wearing VR immersion goggles and small modules on each primary joint (ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, elbows, wrists) and head. A full-body avatar would be modeled. Enjoy real-world activities with others from the comfort of your home: ultimate fighting, live music and dancing, shopping, hiking, adventures, etc. Understand that you are actually walking, and fighting, and singing, and dancing, etc. within the confines of the arena, and with immersion game graphics superimposed or composited over the visual of the actual physical arena space. Computer constructs such as "escalator pads" allow you to step on them and move a given direction until you step off.

Came across this today and thought everyone should see this interesting twist to the PC/MAC/ARM world. Not to much info about this ether on the web.
If you know or find something please post it hear!

Sounds a lot like the matrix.

Maybe we're in the matrix and the damn thing is just going haywire.

It's infected with the 12-21-2012 virus. Placed in the system by none other than Anonymous.

Sixth Sense Technology(VERY COOL)
This is the only other Technology I can think of similar to the IR-Web/iCAML concept.
This video is well worth the watch. Incredible stuff here about 13 min.

Holo-deck here we come.

I had a gaming idea a few years ago that would be a large rotating globe on rollers. You would climb inside and the inside would be completly covered in flat screen moniters. You could walk or run around the enviroment and the screens around you would change in accordance to where you were and how fast you were moving.

The company goes on to mention that: The iCAML technology has several innovative components, and we were the first to specify how to actually create a working IRWeb, thanks to our IC and other innovations.
An analog of the sensing/SACS component required by Toltec has been demonstrated by Microsoft's *Natal technology*(XBOX KINECT)*a result of iCAML technology shared with them(MICROSOFT) some three years ago.

-The visualization component "nahuascope" has been demonstrated by James Cameron's virtual monitor used in producing the movie Avatar!
-The Intangible Control(IC) is demonstrated by the "intangible computer mouse"

Don't be surprised if that's part of the season that it comes about as fast as it does.
The porn & sex industry has been at the forefront of many of the technological innovations the last few decades.

The two industries driving VR will probably be gaming & porn.

What do you all think they are talking about when the say " extreme innovation leading to (disruptive) technologies"?

Another step towards TOLTEC/Intangible Reality Web!

Its called the "Eedoo Machine" or the CT510 made by Lenovo (China)
It is meant to be a multimedia entertainment system that features motion-sensing technology, allowing for controller-free games similar to Microsoft's Kinect device for the Xbox 360. This past weekend, Eedoo finally launched the CT510 in China, after delays with its development.

The company is pricing the CT510 at 3799 yuan (US$603), about double the price of an Xbox 360 Eedoo has started selling its CT510 in 11 cities in China, and plans to establish 1,000 retail points for the device by year's end, as the company develops more games and apps.
