Wrong. Trayvon did not have the right to jump the guy for walking behind him.
That is offensive not defensive. Doesn't matter if he was the first to feel threatened, he was the first to have legitimate reason to fear for his life.
That is what you aren't understanding I suppose.edit on 4-4-2012 by GogoVicMorrow because: (no reason given)

Why did he have to be asked first? Why couldn't he make the first move...someone has to ?Thugs don't of course..goes against their man code..."I'm tough"and now he's dead where a simple little bending of the man code might have avoided much...I have to wonder how much across the country could be avoided by a little willing to give in first...but we all know that can't happen

What would it have hurt him to turn and say"excuse me Sir,I'm on the way to my Dad's house at so and do address..is there something wrong"?He might very well be alive now

Yeah.. don't be ridiculous.
Maybe the most ignorant comment of the thread. Trayvon was no kid. He was a man. He was capable.

No.. sorry he had more than one chance to escape. He had no reason to fear for his life yet. Zimmerman however had a legitimate reason

He was a full grown man. 40 lbs under weight? That is ridiculous and completely speculative on your part. He apparently had no qualms about starting a fight with another man.

In 1992 my partner was killed by a 15 yr old "kid" that wasn't even a 100 lbs...size does nothing for intent or ability...anyone that takes that line is a fool

What are you talking about?
Zimmerman had far more chances to escape. In fact, he had the chance to let none of this happen. Actually, going by the tapes he had SEVERAL chances to PREVENT this all from happening.
So when I compare Martin's chances to escape that you just invented
to
Zimmerman's actual chances to prevent and escape that we know for a fact.
I know how I lean.
How do you know Martin ever had any chance to escape? Maybe he just kept walking until this big thug grabbed him.
Tell me how you know that did not happen.

Which is definitely odd given his original stance in this thread. Something about it all seemed like phony skepticism which over 2 or 3 pages just switched to "I am convinced all the stuff the OP made up and added is true now so I change sides."
This thread has some very peculiar behavior. I wish I did not have as much better stuff to do right now as I did.
