There are plenty of threads around here with misidentifications that were identified as actual identifiable things. Is it a star, planet, aircraft lights, satellite or.........a UFO? Find out here!

wow this vid certainly fired some people up! lol Well personally looking at the vid I am at first and second and third glance very impressed. Im not one to just immediatly jump on the Bandwagon. I find the typical "mysterious light in the dark skies" vid to be totally unconvincing, Ive looked thru the scores of shamelessly obvious ufo hoaxes on YT, so I can "feel" if a ufo vid seems implausible or just fake altogether,. There have been a few that have made me really wonder and this one does just that. Ive no technical skills that allow me to analyze such vids so I leave it to the "experts" that are much more tech savvy to make an opinion then after more conjecture I make my own. . But based on vids Ive seen and the seemingly majority consensus here on ATS re. this thread I will say...this is a very interesting video!

Are you serious? That's your logical explanation? Because the uploader does post-processing CGI work, means his video is a hoax. Seriously, that's your reason for justifying it a hoax...a "blatantly obvious" hoax. Logic and reason. The fact that the uploader does work with video effects, only means that he is capable of creating something like this. It does not mean he created it. It means, the likelihood that he created it using CGI increases, it does not mean, without a doubt, that he did in fact create it. It only calls for more, closer scrutiny, but it does not automatically make it a hoax, or him a hoaxer. It only makes him a suspect, not guilty. Sure, he is suspected with good reason, but to still say "Well, because he does CGI work, everything he uploads that can be created with computer software, was in fact created with computer software by him" is an extremist and closed-minded way of thinking. I'm sure the uploader knew he'd come under heavy fire, having all his CGI videos on his page for the world to see.

We may not ever know for certain, but dismissing it entirely because the uploader is involved with a field of work that can produce these things is a bit short-sighted. Crimes aren't solved that way! If one is suspected...they investigate further. If crimes were dealt with the way you're suggesting, a lot more innocent people will be in prison, and a lot more criminals would be walking around freely.

Maybe someone with experience in video editing and post-processing effects can download the 720p version and take a closer at it. I know there are a few specialist who analyse these sorts of things daily, looking for geometric anomalies, inconsistency in lighting / shadows / reflections, artifacts that are commonly generated by computer image creating software, etc. I'm sure someone out there can help persuade or dissuade concretely, the claims of hoax or real.

It does get smaller. look again. When it is behind the large trees in the beginning it is clearly larger than at the end when it goes over the smaller trees farther away and disappears.

Can we have anyone with CGI experience check the sunlight on the ufo as it moves please? Because I don't even know CGI and I don't think it looks right at all. It's as if the sun is sometimes reflected and looks right, other times not at all. The thing I don't get is that I'd have thought keeping a consistent reflection effect on the craft would be fairly easy?
