U.S. Threatens India With Sanctions Over Iranian Oil

India must cut back its imports on Iranian oil by June 28 or face U.S sanctions. A new law targets Iran's central bank, which is used for oil transactions, and it penalizes foreign countries that ignore the sanctions.

This is pretty interesting, considering India is an ally. The USA and Europe are getting frustrated with India's lack of compliance regarding the importation of Iranian oil. India may face US sanctions if they do not compy byJune the 28th. I find this stupid as India must rely on Iranian oil to survive, yet the USA clearly doesn't care.

India will look for whom will sell cheap to their emerging economy, like China did and at the same time they will keep developing their nuclear power like they been doing while the US keeps pushing war with Iran because India doesn't have oil.

That is the price to pay to be allowed into the inner circle of US and now the EU dictatorship powers you most comply with their demands or else be alienated.

That is what the whole deal about been part of the EU is all about, so the powers behind the so call NWO can control economies abroad.

So far look what is happening in the EU and who is actually dictating policies, but is one problem China doesn't allow that crap and India depending how deep they are into US trade and aid agreement well that is another story.

Love my country, hate my government..... Why can't they just mind their own business? It's not like it is perfect here at home, plenty of hungry, homeless and corruption in our government to fix. Money better spent at home, than meddling with other's affairs.

That is exactly what I been saying for a long time, fix the problems at home before trying to fix the problems abroad, but is a problem this is how powerful economies or nations cement their power over other nations with briberies aka financial aid.

Actually, it is.

Economical war is also a form of war. Sanctions and limitations to trade, purchases and sells are acts of war.

Like the previous poster said, embargoes are something that is determined internally and no other country can question that. For instance, islamic countries usually ban alcohol, while westerns ban drugs, or like the US does with Cuban cigars.

But what the US is doing presently, with the sanctions and war rhetoric, is an act of war since it is an act of aggression.

Yes you are absolutely right, is always a war of some kind or source around, absolutely right, but at least we don't see pictures of marching armies or our mighty air power to show the war on drugs, still very soon we will have the darn drones for that purpose here at home. (just a joke)

It's not always a "war of some kind".

I don't understand what makes people take serious subjects so lightly. It's like if we don't go to war and kill each-other by the thousands then it doesn't matter or isn't important.

These things are very important because the US is messing with countries growth and development. If the US is going to have the "courage" to impose unilateral (and somewhat illegal) sanctions to a country and it's allies (in trade), then it should be for a damn good reason.

People often fail to see the larger picture and to see beyond the obvious. The matter of fact is that these types of policy usually end up with countries being poor and in bad condition. When a population lives poorly, it gets angry, and if the powers that represent them can control that anger, that's when serious stuff happens.

I love to see how people praise the US decisions against Iran or how they dismiss this kind of news as "unimportant", when the lack of knowledge disables them to see what's really happening.

Because of this crap, what is considered a "moderated" leader like Ahmadinejad, that could be pro-west and even an economic ally, is actually losing strength. And not only that, but he is losing power to the conservative and extremist side of Iran. He took a severe blow in the last elections in Iran.

You see, because of economic growth Iran has realized they need to have some of the west mentality in terms of trade and foreign policy. They understand the need to have friends, negotiations and the importance of not having any conflict with peripheral markets.

That's why Iran has such a deep oil market, that's why they are developing nuclear power and that's why they are able to achieve things like a space program.

This crap being made by the US is making the iranians angry and anti-US/west, and anger tries to take shelter in people who carry on that anger into foreign policies, like what happened with Adolf Hitler.

So instead of having a leader that could be worked around/with for a greater good of the region and the world, he is being put into a corner and building the basis for the iranian people demanding aggressive action that could have catastrophic consequences.

This isn't a joke.

Its just a charade played by Obama to look like he is using ALL methods (outside war) to stop Iran.US knows, Ondia knows, Iran knows and Israel knows that this request is NON REALISTIC.
