all i know is that if i raised my hand to my girl, the sh#t would hit the fan! and i expect nothing less!
woman! you have more power than you realize! fight back.
domestic violence is not a joke, and either is racism! i'm sorry if i offended people with my last post,it wasn't intentional,it was to prove a point.
imo,the sign wasn't a good way of dealing with spousal abuse.
bobbit that ass hole!

Any Women who gets attacked SHOULD fight back 100%

The groups that are militant "Femi-Nazi's" WILL protest & fight this 100%

They represent what, 1% (of the population)

"We are the 99%...We are the 99%...We are the 99%"

Oh dear. The sign was definitely in poor taste, but I would have shaken my head over the stupidity of the statement and gotten on with my life.

Lately, it seems like there is always somebody who has to apologize for something they said that is politically incorrect. Although sensitivity towards other's feelings is always a good thing, I believe we have gone way overboard. Nobody can make jokes anymore, and everybody has to measure every word they say, lest somebody take offense.

I miss the days when people could just say what they thought without somebody else having a meltdown over it.

I would have kept the sign up because I don't cater to political correctness.
If someone is offended, then thats their right to be offended.

Distasteful??
Sure, but who is anyone to tell someone else what to do,how to do it and when to do it?

Screw the politically correct!!!

i would use my free speech to shout from the balcony about how much of a dink my husband is!
call a lawyer, call the cops, call a hitman! don't make a joke of it. she'll go home tonite and get beat again for doing this!

FortAnthem,
Thanks for your post. I love jokes, and I love to chuckle. That said, being a women, I find this an odd way for people to cope..especially after being thrown around. I do however think the owner of the pub should not be responsible, as he did not approve. She did deserve to lose her job, it was impulsive. Maybe she is fragile right now and needs to come back to work when she doesn't feel like hurting every other womens feelings thats been thrown around when they read that. Epic fail on her part. & shame on her spouse.
Thanks for your post.

That sign would be OK because it doesn't offend any special "victim's groups" (unless there's a group for scrawney guys who suffer from premature ejaculation
). It seems these victim's groups thrive on the publicity they can wring out of situations like this. They enjoy the free publicity as well and the contributions it brings to their cause.

Who cares if a member of their victim's group ended out on the streets and has to face her abusive husband about losing her job when she gets home? As long as those contributions keep rolling in, everything is OK.

I like my posts how I like my own genitals, short, sometimes funny, and people complain about them.

People just need to lighten up!

Don't sell yourself short, Beez! Your posts are usually consistent, full of substance, and best used horizontally. Remember, it only takes two lines to please!

Victim makes joke in a humorous and sub/possibly fully conscious cry for help; victim's group has her fired.

Welcome to the world of Today.
Don't send a representative to the bar to see who made it.
Don't ask them why they made it.
Don't settle things like respectable people.

You're forgetting here that SHE is the one that made the joke.

HER CHOICE.

I thought you PC crowd was all for choice.

Unless that violates your delicate sensibilities.

Must get tiring changing that freedom/fascism hat you put on in the morning huh?

I'm for freedom of speech for EVERYBODY, good or bad. Otherwise what's the point of having it?

posted a chalkboard beer advertisement that made a pun out of sexual assault.

I must have missed the part where the sign said ANYTHING about sexual assault.
Some people see what they want to see in order to feel the way they NEED to feel.

I love how americans are so quick to take the job of the poor battered waitress because of her coping mechanism. "OMG SHE OFFENDED ME I WILL HAVE HER JOB FOR THIS!" and yet their rights are being trampled on every week with some sort of new proposed bill by some puppet leader. I don't normally like to say this word about americans but I think its called for in this incident...

SHEEPLE!!

I love how viral this went in a day and yet when I try to spread the word of Monsanto or some other corrupt organization people will plug their ears and close their eyes. What the heck is wrong with my country? Is the T.V. more powerful than real life? I guess so...
