Its no surprise that Facebook and other social media sites play an active roll in keeping up with the daily activities of our friends and family. Obviously this was not the case around the year 1776 when our declaration was signed. Can anybody think of funny posts that our founding fathers might post if they had Facebook??!

I know a couple of the Presidents wrote letters back and forth on agricultural practices. That could be conjured up to something funny with someone that has some whit.

They would be posting this rather well-known image many times I think.

It would have been way easier to spread information.

Although, Abraham Lincoln was not a founding father....he most definately would have shut down Facebook and any other social media. Good ole honest Abe, shut down the MSM in his day. He was the George Bush of his generation.

If they had FB back then, we would have never had a revolution.

They would all have their fat asses planted on a sofa, eating pie, drinking whiskey and talking back and forth on the Internet about what they 'ought' to do.

If today's Internet is any indication, that's what would have happened.

I wish I had worded it so succinctly. The worlds great political philosophers from Plato through Locke and Jefferson agreed human beings have an inexplicable, innate, universal capacity to understand "things" beyond what should be expected based on their personal experience.

Regardless how you attempt to describe this ability, from natural or divine perspectives, the only difference between people is how the understanding is colored by ones personal experience.

The main point is this. The greater degree of input from the greatest number of individuals yields the greatest truth! Given our tremendous diversity of experience as human beings, something akin to Facebook stands to transform our planet. The founding fathers would have embraced it to the same extent as they cast off the fatalistic concept of Divine Right or Divine Decry.

The sooner we cast off our outdated, unfair and inequitable form of so called representative democracy, the sooner the tyranny shall end and a golden age shall commence.

Vive La Revolution! Signatories to SOPA and NDAA should be prosecuted as Royalist, Elitist Luddites. Let the digital revolution begin! Let the bitches in DC scrub commodes in prison. Let the Barron's of Wall St be forced to eat arsenic laden chicken fed with GMO corn shot up with hormones and drink antidepressant metabolites from our collective stream of urine!

Gee, all that from Facebook. Imagine what they'd do with ATS?
