Repealing a ban on women drivers in Saudi Arabia would result in ‘no more virgins’, the country’s religious council has warned. A ‘scientific’ report claims relaxing the ban would also see more Saudis - both men and women - turn to homosexuality and pornography.

The startling conclusions were drawn by Muslim scholars at the Majlis al-Ifta’ al-A’ala, Saudi Arabia’s highest religious council, working in conjunction with Kamal Subhi, a former professor at the King Fahd University Their report assessed the possible impact of repealing the ban in Saudi Arabia, the only country in the world where women are not allowed behind the wheel. It was delivered to all 150 members of the Shura Council, the country’s legislative body.

According to their 'scientific report' ... which appears to be taken seriously because it was allowed to be delivered to the country's legislative body - all hell will break upon Saudi Arabia if women are allowed to drive. Everyone will suddenly be humping in the streets ... men on women, men on men, women on women, etc ...

And yes, even though this is 2011, women are whipped if they are caught driving a car.

Seriously ... this is slavery for women.

Saudi Arabia has the most brutal dictatorship of all countries, and the US doesn't say a thing to them.. Money runs the world.

That's what the Saudi's get for selling their soul to Wahabbi'ism back in the 1700's. They made their bed, they can sleep in it. .

In America if you are caught driving without a permit/licence you go to jail and pay fines. Must be slavery here too, as only those with the funds to afford to meet the regulations are allowed to drive and the poor are screwed.

Also, how does not being able to drive equal slavery? Does that mean that everyone was a slave before 1900 when cars were first introduced?

No the fact is that we are all slaves anyways, and this is one of the propaganda methods of distracting you from your own slavery, oh lets get our nose in other people's business and tell them how to live.

What's the point of this propaganda piece anyways? I sense a "Let's go kill some Muslims" insinuation somewhere within it.

What is more oppressive? Allowing them to conduct their own society the way they wish, or us going over there to force them to adopt our standards of culture and societal behavior (at the point of a gun or drop of a bomb - which will cause those poor women to be blown apart as collateral damage anyway).
Haven't we "liberated" enough Muslims for now?

Also I believe this article is out of context because it appears to me they are inferring that by allowing these restrictions to be lifted it will lead to or open the door to further erosion of their cultural standards, rather than it eroding the aggregate of the entire body of law through this one individual law.

It reminds me of some of the ignorant fears that people in the US have about gays marrying: If the gays marry, it will destroy traditional marriage and their kids will all be gay and the population will die off!

One poster said the US is so much better or something? I don't know if that was sarcasm or not, but the US has its very own set of insane religiously-inspired and archaic laws.

I am not apologizing for anyone.

I am criticizing "our Western culture" which thinks it has the right to go everywhere around the world and dominate other people's culture and force them to change their society to fit our standards. Meanwhile we allow our own cultural, economic, political, etc standards to erode even further down the drain. It's pure hypocrisy.

This article only serves one purpose, to dehumanize Muslims and condemn their way of life. And I won't put up with it. We ought to mind our own business, IMHO.

Those fools should not be allowed to drive at all IMO.
