Woman purchases turkey with '07 expiration date

This was no joke, but very funny. After returning home the woman realized she had purchased a turkey that was four years old! Here was the store manager's excuse,"This is an honest mistake. We donate unused food to needy families and area churches. I don't know how this was mixed up. It never should have happened."

LOL!! I feel sorry for the people who are waiting in line at the food banks this year. If it's any consolation that the turkey has a few years on it, at least they got the giblets with it.

probably safer to eat on account of fukushima and chem trails..

I am not amused by any of that.

my money on she had a four year old turkey she wanted rid of,
if the store did sell it thats messed up

Its still out of date....at 35 seconds it shows the use by date on the new one..12/02/2011....the way we write dates thats 12th February 2011 (UK).

Im assuming this is the american way of dating...2nd December 2011.

That shop is almost as bad as my nan, every christmas she sends me a hamper....normally with stuff from early 2000 in it. I think she empties her cupboards of all the old crap and tries palming it off on me Ive had older stuff than 4 years out of date off of my nan lol

Great Post! I have a few relatives like that myself. It's humorous to see people who feel like they've done the world a favor by pawning off food that is several years past its prime. It's like watching a rerun of Mr. Bean. I'm still laughing at the fact that the store manager tried reselling the donated food in his store. What an entrepreneur!

Had a lot of brands I'd never heard of, Canned food with no label for 50 cent,
Picked up a jar of mayonnaise off the bottom shelf to look at it, and it was hot, the contents were all watery and curdled, and I realized it was from sitting in front of freezer condenser not more than 2 feet away!
