interesting, complete animal cruelty in my opinion granted its just a gold fish but still. Fish probably has like 2 brain cells left one to flap arms and other to breathe

Just for perspective...do you eat any commercial meat, eggs, or milk?

If so, I'm not sure if I should clarify a few things for you or not...

There is almost zero harm done to the fish as it is frozen too fast for ice crystals to develop. I've done it in chemistry!

Ive read that is a myth. They've been trained to navigate mazes and recognize their owners after long periods of being away.

Its just basic cryogenics, You can in theory do this to a human. But you would most likely lose your soul along the way

I think the word you are looking for is smarterer.

The story of the goldfish and the the 3 sec. memory is a myth
and has been proven to be fallacious.

Sigh. There is a diffrence between EATING meat, and cruelty just for the sake of it.

Your argument is old and stinks.

In theory, however, a human is much larger and therefore exceedingly difficult to freeze without the formation of ice crystals.

What argument was that? I asked a question for illustrative purposes as to what we find disgusting but otherwise allow with our lack of attention (or mere indifference). Cruelty is cruelty and honestly never justified, especially when it's just to maximize profits at the expense of our own humanity and compassion. If we're going to partake in something, we should not hide the facts from ourselves so as to do it comfortably.

The doubles standards and self deception are old, and they stink. A request to everyone - to the extent that it's possible, please eat and live cruelty-free, and support businesses that operate accordingly.

Waaah, cruelty! Why don't you punch planet Earth in the face, then? Fish get frozen solid in ponds all winter long and come out of it just fine. Happens every year. That Old Man Winter is so crooooooooooooooel....
