What we have here is a super power never before seen in human history with an unlimited purchasing power and strongest technology around.

Unlimited purchasing power? Lets see what the Chinese have to say about that as they are the US's biggest lender, oh yeah ,that's right, they don't think the US will be able to pay their debts. the more money the FED invents out of thin air, the less it is worth.

In fact, most of the "money" in the US exists solely as binary code, there is no physical "money" to back it up, which is half of the problem with the world economy, and the reason so many countries are moving away from the green back. Which countries? Well, you can start with the list provided by the op, then turn on the news, whatever country is being demonized is probably on that list too.

strongest technology around? you mean all that technology built by china? that's right. That's why the department of defense is on a mad rush to replace every single silicon chip in any military or defense equipment. Because they outsourced production to China, and no one in the US has the knowledge or ability to verify there is no security hole built in.

Well there's a massive piece of that puzzle you left out. When the USSR broke up, and the cold war ended, the war that completely bankrupted the USSR, they were expecting some type of humanitarian aid mission like the Marshal plan after ww2. Nothing, zip, nada, THEN organized crime took over. If the US, and the world, had actually stepped into help, it might not have gone that way.

As well, the Russians offered to completely dismantle their nuclear arsenal, the US ignored that offer just as it ignored the peoples plight once communism fell.

Star for you for the fact but one correction is needed, the USA had no obligation to support the USSR even if in its best interest (for the common citizen), if you take a closer look the corporations did benefit from the chaos. I still do not understand why common people defend capitalism if they are not themselves capitalists and are increasingly excluded for the possibility of becoming one (or even of participating in it in equal terms). Not that it should be something one should aspire but at least it would make some sort of sense...

Excellent additions to the thought process. Thanks for the tidbits so that I can update my internal history book!
