Not that I needed another reason to like Dr. Paul, but he was spot on with my way of thinking.
He is not the savior nor does he claim to be. What he is though, is the facilitator of personal responsibility. Once we as a nation start to accept responsibility for our actions, and stop trying to blame someone or something, we can finally grow instead of sustain. I hope more people will get the chance to hear his character.

Personally I find it terrifying that a leader of the most powerful (and war like) nation on earth would take his morals from a bronze age book of myths about invisible men that live in the sky.

I wonder if "DR" Paul would terminate a pregnancy if Jesus told him to. [/quotI vote this as the dumbest post ever in ats history. btw, Yah does not contradict , you do though.

dumbest ever!

It's akin to asking if Stalin's followers would restore the monarchs if they were promised a berry tart.

I dont think religion's is evil as such, but they are build on deception and lies and has killed millions of people, I think that is enough.

Hm, something that is built on deception and lies and has killed millions of people ?

How about the Nazi party ? Meets the criteria = Evil as most would agree but we then cannot escape the fact that the Christian religion is built on deception and lies ans has killed millions so obviously have to draw the same conclusion Christianity = Evil.

Top be honest I don't think for a minute that Ron Paul has actually read any of the bibles cover to cover but has (sadly as he appears to be an all round nice guy) just been indoctrinated to cherry pick from an early age.
Clearly DR Paul is a pseudo scientist as he does not appear to be aware that there not even any contemporaneous evidence that his bible jesus even existed let alone created everything that is,was or will ever be.

One can only conclude that Ron Paul, like so many others is either lying about beliefs in order to pacify the deluded or is deluded himself, either way this puts a big question mark above a man trying to obtain the position he does.

As we all know almost every leader such as Presidents and Prime Ministers have failed to follow through on their promises they made to get into office, why would Ron Paul be any exception to this ? If the voters decide to start killing gays again what reason would DR Paul have to deny this when his god demands it ?
How on earth can Dr Paul reject the concept of slavery when his god encourages it ?

Perhaps the US citizens would do well to elect a Satanist as President at least they would exactly what they were going to get and some would argue no worse than what they have already been having, the results appear to be the same = misery and death.

lol, you can't stop with the foot, you needed to add your calf and thigh to the digestive process?
Honestly, where do you come up with this stuff? man, dude, why do you hate people so much?

Here, let me give you a scripture or two to twist somehow in your future hatologues.
I agree with these and try to live by them as a disciple of Yahshaya.
Hatred stirs up strife,
but love covers all offenses.

—Proverbs 10:12 Proverbs 17:9
Whoever covers an offense seeks love,
but he who repeats a matter separates close friends.

—Proverbs 17:9 Proverbs 25:21-22
If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat,
and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink,
for you will heap burning coals on his head,
and the Lord will reward you.

—Proverbs 25:21-22 Luke 6:27-35
“But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. To one who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also, and from one who takes away your cloak do not withhold your tunic either. Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back. And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.

“If you love those who love you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to get back the same amount. But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.

—Luke 6:27-35 John 13:34-35
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

—John 13:34-35 Romans 12:9-10
Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.

—Romans 12:9-10 Galatians 5:6
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.

—Galatians 5:6 Philippians 1:9-11
And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

—Philippians 1:9-11 1 Peter 4:8
Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.

—1 Peter 4:8 1 John 3:14
We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. Whoever does not love abides in death.

—1 John 3:14 1 John 4:7-21
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.

By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.

—1 John 4:7-21

Now there is some way off chance that you are more educated, knowledgable and willing to teach me what it is to truly understand His teachings so feel free to show me where I am wrong and how it is I should follow your christian ideals you are so willingly ready to espouse

but maybe you are right and Dr. Paul only cherry picked verses like these that I gave you and missed all the stuff you chose as ideals to live by if you follow His teachings. It would explain Dr. Pauls standing as an "honest" politician, an oxymoron, I know.

Is it just me, or was Gingrich mean muggin' Ron Paul pretty hard at times when he was speaking? lol

I now realize that it was a "family forum" debate, which explains the questions which I originally found odd. Given Frank Luntz's reputation, I expected this debate to be a complte disaster. I expected tons of questions meant to make Ron Paul look bad, but he did a great job of asking legitimate questions that tied into the thanksgiving, family theme.

Ron Pauls answer on that last question was flawless.

Would just like to say there is a very good reason why church is hard to seperate from state because the law revolves very closely around it so I would just put that one out there.
