No, no, the U.S. Space Command keeps its primary Stargate in position in orbit on the far side of the Moon. When it operates, it creates a momentary "pinch" in the background star field as it warps spacetime (and therefore starlight). It would be too noticeable from anywhere on Earth by amateur astronomers -- or just people looking at the sky -- if they just had it in plain view.

There is no such thing as the darkside of the moon, well there is but it's always changing like night on Earth.



your wrong its always the same side that point towards earth, therefor the other side is called "the dark side"
