From the horse's mouth:

The Federal Reserve System fulfills its public mission as an independent entity within government. It is not "owned" by anyone and is not a private, profit-making institution.

As the nation's central bank, the Federal Reserve derives its authority from the Congress of the United States. It is considered an independent central bank because its monetary policy decisions do not have to be approved by the President or anyone else in the executive or legislative branches of government, it does not receive funding appropriated by the Congress, and the terms of the members of the Board of Governors span multiple presidential and congressional terms.

However, the Federal Reserve is subject to oversight by the Congress, which often reviews the Federal Reserve's activities and can alter its responsibilities by statute. Therefore, the Federal Reserve can be more accurately described as "independent within the government" rather than "independent of government."

The 12 regional Federal Reserve Banks, which were established by the Congress as the operating arms of the nation's central banking system, are organized similarly to private corporations--possibly leading to some confusion about "ownership."

Yup, that kind of vague, self-contradicting description sure can lead to "confusion" about "ownership."

* "The twelve regional Federal Reserve Banks, which were established by Congress as the operating arms of the nation’s central banking system, are organized much like private corporations – possibly leading to some confusion about "ownership." For example, the Reserve Banks issue shares of stock to member banks. However, owning Reserve Bank stock is quite different from owning stock in a private company. The Reserve Banks are not operated for profit, and ownership of a certain amount of stock is, by law, a condition of membership in the System. The stock may not be sold, traded, or pledged as security for a loan; dividends are, by law, 6 percent per year." * "[The Federal Reserve] is considered an independent central bank because its decisions do not have to be ratified by the President or anyone else in the executive or legislative branch of government, it does not receive funding appropriated by Congress, and the terms of the members of the Board of Governors span multiple presidential and congressional terms." * "The Federal Reserve’s income is derived primarily from the interest on U.S. government securities that it has acquired through open market operations. . . . After paying its expenses, the Federal Reserve turns the rest of its earnings over to the U.S. Treasury."

Taking out the FED will be no small feat. I think the first step must be to take money out of politics. Outlaw lobbying, no corporate contributions to campaigns and put a cap on individual contributions. Until we take greed out of politics the common man will have no voice.

Things are going to get much worse before it gets better. The establishment is firmly entrenched and they don't plan on going anywhere. TPTB don't believe that what happened in Egypt and Libya could happen in the U.S. but it can and will. The decline of western civilization has already begun.

Dark times are comming.

Yes. The Apocalypse has begun.

Apocalypse (Greek: apokalypsis; "lifting of the veil") is a disclosure of something hidden from the majority of mankind in an era dominated by falsehood and misconception.

The Fed is a threefold conspiracy, i.e. centered around three government agencies.

1. Federal Reserve System
2. Federal Bureau of Investigation
3. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms

The conspirators at the time were deeply involved in the Protocols of Zion and the Russian Revolution which was a power grab by lesser nobles that did absolutely nothing to better the livelihood or position of peasants and commoners.
