Wow another non-American piping in on (american) issues they know nothing about.

Not going to pass judgement on the OWs movement, as I am just as upset over the looting of the countries wealth So while I don't support a lot of the nonsense (green enegy, free college, etc,,,), we do need to get the corporations under control.

I heard something this morning regarding the similarities between Tea Party and OWS, and they called them fleabaggers.

At first I was humored, then I just got mad.

The fat cats will do anything they can to discredit the OWS movement, and they really are looking down their noses at them/us, but to claim that they somehow practice better hygeine is insulting.

All the "dirty hippie" "commie"
"socialist" BS rhetoric isn't helping the conservative cause now that firefighter unions, nurses unions, teacher unions, veteran organizations, and now police unions are seeing the benefit of OWS.
What started as a student protest is gaining grassroots support with every passing day.
Even my retail shop owners organization is in support of OWS. We feel this movement is beneficial to retail and small businessmen in general to force the banks to give back some of the bail out money in the forms of expansion loans. The TPM should be on board with this!! Oh I forgot, the TPM is just a shill for the GOP.

You are probably right about the rhetoric hurting the Conservatives.

The people I saw at "Occupy San Diego" were not beneficial to anything.

I have had more people and better "Organization" in my shower.

Just Saying.

TPTB will use every trick in the book to discredit the OWSers, I said it in another thread and I will say it here: there will be plants at all OWS locations to discredit this vital movement, some planted by TPTB and some from organizations like ACORN, the protesters staying true to the Movement need only focus on the task at hand and not be distracted by what is going on to the right or left. Sometimes ignorance can be helpful. Focus forward.

Probably not.

Way to plug your unsuccessful thread in some one elses.

What have you to say on topic? Do you have anything to say about the accusation of some protestors being paid?

About former Acorn employees being involved? Anything?

MAYBE

Could be Australia has an ACORN equivalent.... like an affiliate

if the 1% are duping the protestors into ushering in a global government.... it's even likely in that scenario...

The Europeans are used to protesting, they do it all the time.

America hasn't been doing much protesting since the 60's. It's a combination of resignation that we aren't in a position to fix anything and plain old apathy. Which is why things have been allowed to get so bad.

But they need to know that it has already been more successful than any protests in America in the last 30 years.

It can only get bigger, the elite are paying attention now. I have a good friend from my Army days who works for Xe (Blackwater) and he said they don't care if Iraq ends at this point, they have more clients for security in America than they can protect right now. Their personal security training schools are full with long waiting lists to get in.

The elite are getting nervous, so we are hitting the right notes, lets keep it up.

I did look at the time stamp

You have one off topic reply and you telling them " That is not the damn question", at the time of this post.

That is the epitome of an unsuccessful thread.

If asking your opinion on the topic at hand, equates to me being ATS police, so be it.

So, what is your opinion? Because I did ask you some questions that you have not answered....

Yeah, I read where you said you were in a shouting match with a cop... Swell..

But what do you think of the accusation of former Acorn employees paying some protestors?

I don't doubt for a second that OWS has been infiltrated.
It was bound to happen..
I do question that it was actually organized from the start by these people though..

BTW, I also have no doubt there are people that are also paid to discredit the OWS..
It certainly works both ways.

Start looking for the same pattern in Europe.

There is a formula.

Step 1: Organize a peaceful demonstration against the status quo.

Step 2: Train an Elite Force of about 50 or 60 thugs to hijack the protest at the very end.
Tip over a few cars. Attack the police. Do some serious property damage.

Step 3: After it's all over, the original protesters are interviewed on TV and complain
that their demonstration was hijacked by a bunch of unknown thugs.

Step 4: George Soros laughs out loud in his Four Seasons Hotel room.

Hint: He has done this in 5 other nations in the past.

Yup, I saw this on foxnews.com earlier. It is complete and utter bs. The OWS movement has raised $350,000 so far, the NYCC raised, according to Fox, $5,000, so it's not even that big of a contributor.

For some who do not know how Acorn operates in the USA.

For those who think Acorn is above paying off protesters,
or help push a *leaderless* movement for there own causes.
Or could not believe they would do such a thing.

Brush up time.

You know, I hate for that to be true. I would like to not believe it. Can you blame me? But here lately, I have been noticing things... people within the movement are becoming more violent... Think of the people in Ohio who stormed that bank, over turned a table and threw papers everywhere. They vandalized the place.

I honestly hope you are wrong... But I fear you are right.

OMG! A 3rd tape! ......What?! A 4th tape . All in different cities! 5th tape! OMG!

---------
ABC, NBC & CBS completely ignored the Acorn scandal until the White House
condemned the Acorn mess.
