O.K. I wasn't going to post this..

my wife say they are too good for the general public..

but...Since we at ATS are not really the general public...

here goes..

40 mushroom caps..no stems..

1 8 oz pack of cream cheese.

1 16 oz ball of skim mozzarella cheese.(shred it fine or just buy it shredded)

1 pound of bacon..I like bacon...Crispy..

any sweet onion you like best..

combine cream cheese and mozzarella in a bowl at room temp..

throw in the bacon and onion.(.Crush the bacon into small pieces..)

Mix with hands..I always do..made with love my wife says..

after mixed..

put in fridge to chill for about half an hour..

put shroom caps on cookie sheet and spoon a big chunk of mixture into each cap..

set oven to 350*

place shrooms in oven for 15 mins or until lightly golden brown..

I make these a lot and can tell you that people will say ..

"I don't like mushrooms"

Heck, I've had to make those same people stop eating them so the rest of us could have some...

Any left over mix can be eaten on damn near anything..

I like mine on an English muffin..

Man all the ingredients just sound awesome.
I'm not a fan of mushrooms but sweet onions, cream cheese, bacon, motz cheese.

NOOOMYYY!
Will have to try it out =P

Thats interesting. I usually use bread crumbs, red wine and/or redwine vinegar and/or balsamic, Parmesan cheese an egg and fresh basil and whatever spices I have on hand.
Some people stuff em with crab.

I do a similar thing, but Stilton instead of cream cheese, I prefer strong cheese, the older the better. Especially with the big Portobello mushrooms.

Mushrooms and cheese were meant to be together.

Got something to go with it !!
Fresh green Jalapainos cut in half seeds removed stuff with leftover cheese and chill in fridge .
Add a nice steak and taters and you got dinner !

Stuffed shrooms and chilled stuffed peppers..at your next party !

This recipe sounds amazinggggggg!! Can't wait to try this! My hubby loves anything with bacon in it!

Oh yeah, it's what's for dinner Saturday
Going grocery shopping Friday after work.

I have wanted to make stuffed shells or peppers but mushrooms trump both!

Haha I told my friends at work that I was making these and that it was a recipe from someone on ATS and now I HAVE to bring them some lol.

Im making them tonight and bringing them tomorrow for everyone at work lol. I get asked to cook all the time but i don't ever really do it, it gets expensive but this is affordable and everyone said they loved stuffed mushrooms. I have also been asked to make lasagna for two people who said they would pay for the ingredients if I made it. So I am doing that on Wednesday lol.


Funny thing is my friends know what I mean when I say ATS, they are very well aware of the site because I show them threads at times when I see them and they know my interests.

that's right close to our 'mix' for filling jalapeno/habanero poppers.
[2 blocks cream cheese, 2-8oz sharp cheddar shredded, 1# crispy-fried country-smoked bacon, minced]

if ya really wanna 'wOw' them ... try baby bellas stuffed with crab imperial ... brushed with garlic butter and broiled until just right.


they'll think you're the second coming.

You should post that popper recipe
those are my favorite. There is a local restaurant/bar that has shrimp poppers and they are so darn good. I want the recipe to try them myself. I have never had poppers like that let alone shrimp ones and they use the jumbo shrimp for them. It's hard to eat the entire bowl! It's filling!

Crab imperial? Is that a dip? I am not a crab fan all that much unless it's real crab. I am not a fan of imitation crab meat, how can you imitate crab? lol

One of your recipes is next!

I am baking these in about 2 hrs to take to everyone but i did just make 2 for myself that are cooking now so I can try them first!

I am in the process of making Italian bread to go with it
I have a little basil besto dipping sauce I made and both the mushrooms and bread will go great with it!

Im so hungry and its only 9:45am! I have been up cooking since about 7:30am and I did all the prep work last night lol

OMG these are DELICIOUS!!!

I wish I made more than just one to try now! LOL!

I have plenty of the mixture left because I made two kinds so I didn't use a lot of it. I am grabbing more mushrooms on the way home only Im going to get the big portabella ones and make them for dinner tonight. My roommate liked that idea lol

They were good! Everyone loved them. I was too tired to stop on the way home and get more mushrooms so I put it on an English muffin and my roommate said "That was the bomb," lol He is 61 and kind of a picky eater, always wants to change everything. He didn't suggest adding anything to this which was shocking lol
