seems to me the republicans are willing to drag our country through the sewer system if they don't get their way as far as bush's tax cuts also...
they want the cuts, but aren't willing to give anything, obama had agree to the cuts, but wanted them to give a little as far as the taxes....that and his stipulation that the money saved from cuts to social security was to be set aside to strengthen the program and not go into paying for the past bailout for bankers and other stupid spending, like wars!!

as far as I am concerned, they are all to blame...at one point, they had at least two trips planned to europe for congress and their families, two separate multi-country trips, rooms at the finest hotels, meals at the finest resturants, private jets, that were bought a year or two ago, expecially for their trips!! don't know if they went or not, it was decided that congress should work through most of the break, to extend the debt limit...
but, well, how much money would these trips have cost?? where were they gonna come up with that cash???

I'm getting so sick and tired of their bs, it's so obvious that they are trying to play us!! how dare they sit there and start wars, then tell us that there is no money to pay the troops!! or plan these extravagant trips, then tell us that they won't be sending out social security checks!!

Here is the list of the Board members of the Bank of China.
www.bochk.com...
What a surprise, they are all Chinese.

did u actually read the page you provided ???
Over half of those shown on that page are
NON-EXECUTIVE Status.

And who was listed as EXECUTIVES mostly
pre-dates the 2004-2005 restructuring of
the BOC which saw the foreign bankers
come in and buy their holding shares
and split the company into 4 entities.

The remainder of the executives on that page
were assigned executives of the 4-way split
BOC Holdings Limited, BOC (BVI), BOC
Hong Kong, etc ....
which only the foreign bankers have control
over all four companies.

Like I said bro, please do ur homework

You are posting executives one step below
TPTB.

They are the board. Sounds to me like you have fallen for another propaganda lie.

Provide a link that proves you right, sorry, but your claim means nothing if you can't back it up.

Here is the list from 2011 of the execs.

investing.businessweek.com...

Surprise surprise, all Chinese.

At this point in time, if you can't put up a link to back your claims, you will look like a total dupe.

In the runup to the IPO, BOC solicited long term investors to take strategic stakes in the company. In October 2005, the Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC announced a $3.1 billion investment which would give the British bank control of just under 10 percent stake in the Bank of China. Further investments were made by Swiss bank UBS AG, and by Temasek Holdings Pte. Ltd, who also promised to subscribe for an additional $500 million worth of shares during Bank of China's initial public offering.

The Bank has been investigated by the United States in its money laundering probe related to the superdollars affair

en.wikipedia.org...

I told ya they were restructured in 2005 by
a big influx of investment capital by International
Bankers.

If it is a lie then wiki needs correction

The link here to Rothschilds is the acquisition
of BOC Stock in 2004 by UBS as quoted in the wiki
article.

UBS and Rothschild were business partners
at that time. However, that relationship is not
too cushy these days as Rothschild is sueing
UBS for fraud over another un-related business
deal in the UK.

as i have friends from both ends of the spectrum,, poor and rich and even in between, i have seen their lives change exponentially over the past 10 years. even my once 'safe' mostly middle class existence is feeling threatened. i am a liberal leaning independent, i have voted for both repubs and demis, but i also read and research before hand to see what im getting, lol. from my wealthy friends, who make alot more(over a mil) a year, there has not been much change for them. they still throw great parties, kids still getting new cars, vacationed in Australia this year i believe. as i am closer to the wife, who by the way brought the money into the family from her family, and she has never worked a day in her life, i got a phone call to take her to the local aldi store, because she wanted to economize....lol. ok, so i did. She bought nothing, because she got upset that you had to deposit a quarter in the grocery cart to unlock it, and she would have to bag her own groceries. When i asked her why she wanted to economize, her response was that she was trying to do her part to help the poor by shopping where they work....ummm, so poor people don't work at publix where you usually shop?
then i have some old friends, very low income, but both adults were working, they had savings, but were more the relaxed hippie type, you know the ones who will eat bologna because they saw someone who needed something and felt they should help. All they want is for their kids to get a good education, a little place to retire in the mountains, etc ...they did not receive assistance of any kind, worked hard, played when the time was right, not asking for more then they had. Then about a year ago- both were laid off because their company was outsourcing. These are hard working Americans, both in their 40s, who were faced with unemployment for the first time in their lives. They couldn't downsize any further, they already didn't spend alot, and the horrible happened- they had to apply for assistance....HORROR!!!! The wife was able to get unemployment- $250.00 a week, because they don't count commission income, only base pay, hubby only worked "partime" so he didn't qualify. food stamps, yes-family of 5 got $270.00 a month, medicaid- yes for the 2 younger children----but after 6mos still can not find a doctor who is accepting medicaid new patients, welfare- NO, she was told if she left her husband, she could get $207.00 a month, any other assistance from the government-- no. So, after exhausting their savings, until about 2 mos ago, that was all they were living on. And now her unemployment is ending, she has 2 degrees, one in accounting, no job offer in 15 months. hubby helps by finding scrap metal and doing odd jobs.
i see both sides of the coin, my bottom line has shrunk so far that vacations are out, looking to sale our house- yeah right good luck me!!, and more economic issues to come. But through all this, i still see that we need to not only cut the fat, but we also need to trim the sugar off the top too. repeal the bush tax cuts on the top 2%- it was only suppose to be temporary anyway, and i have seen no evidence that the tax cut created jobs- you can not tell me that it has, we have consistently lost jobs every year since they were enacted. how about this, repeal them, and if you created sustainable jobs then you get tax credits only then. also, the entitlement programs-welfare, snap etc, need to be purged of the cheaters, and restructuring the way it works, and make some type of work required to get benefits, even if its cleaning the highways, volunteering etc, if you don't help, you don't get your benefits. All wars need to be ended along with monetary support for those country's- we need to FEED AND HOUSE AMERICANS FIRST. bring manufacturing jobs back!! IF COMPANY'S WANT TO OUTSOURCE, MAKE IT EXPENSIVE AS HECK TO BRING THAT PRODUCT BACK TO AMERICA, I AM SO TIRED OF THIS COUNTRY NOT PRODUCING AMERICAN PRODUCTS ANYMORE. both sides need to quit all this preening for the voters and do the job they were elected to do. the repubs are holding the country by the balls to keep just 2% of the country happy, when the other 98% is free falling fast and hard. i do not think either party knows whats going on, but here in south carolina, i see the anger and the hopelessness growing everyday, and it does not bode well for this country.

I think no one in DC has the brass set needed to offer an Article of Impeachment of the "historic" Mr. Obama. Now that saying that Operation Fast and Furious (the gunwalking to the drug cartels in Mexico) might not get to that level (but I predict Holder would fall on his sword as a true believing Obot) but I don't think the withholding of Social Security funds to beneficiaries threat rises to the High Crimes and Misdemeanors needed...but it is promising to learn that the "I" word is being brought up in the blogosphere.

No wonder the Emperor wants a 'kill' switch.

And, that is a vote on a senate amendment, and tells absolutely nothing about repub support for the bailout.

The repubs supported it completely, many simply wanted a no strings attached bailout that allowed the banks to steal even more money from the people.

Here is an article that paints the picture in a realistic light.

www.kattenlaw.com...

The whole bailout was a result of repub deregulation policies and a repub admin that refused to do its job and protect the People of the U.S. from criminal actions by bankers. That Misoir wants to blame this on democrats shows just how warped his mind is.

It's like make believe here all the time Poet...

This thread and it's outrage is allegedly because Obama is using the possibility
Of entitlement default as a political tool. Yet the same lot of lads are for ENDING
The entirety of entitlements as a matter of principle. The same people support
Initiating potential economic Armageddon as a political tool or simply as a viable
Policy decission.

Damn right the GOP's two decade long bend for deregulation set the stage
For the crisis and the debasement of the sovereign production base, being re
Placed with a personal debtors industry... Misoir has not researched the last 30
Years I guess, thIs climate was the long term plan for decades, this climate
Is great for the people who can shift markets, the GOP's real constituency.

Does not back your original claim at all.

It has a board of directors
which govern it's actions. None of these
board members are Chinese.

Either you were making stuff up, or you were completely duped by some propaganda. So what, European bankers own a stake in the Bank of China, I am not surprised at all.

This only backs my original claims that the ICs are eagerly selling the U.S. to communist China.

Looks to me like they are trying to establish free market communism here in the U.S..

And the repub pols you support are working to help them do just that.

I dont post, just lurk. This subject however has me steaming over. I make $50,000 a year, I claim on my taxes, 2 children, a house and whatever else I can think of and end up paying zero federal taxes.

The budget for the United States is 3.9 trillion dollars.
The population of the United States is 305 million.

That works out to be over $12,000 for every man woman and child in this country.

Now if I dont pay taxes, and you consider me rich and 50% of the population doesnt pay taxes who is paying for this government?

The rich pay plenty. They pay for every person that doesnt "feel" they can get employment.

You dems need to get off your a&%es and stop complaining and start contributing.

A big part of the problem is that the democrats are only slightly better.

Legistlstion legalized the merger of lending and insurance firms
To lend and ensure their own garbage??? That move was instrumental,
Soros and whoever else have NO power when avenues are blocked

The ability to do what they did. You know what staw man is ???

Now that sounds like a Ron Paul statement
as he has claimed SS is an illegal scheme
under the constitution and wants to see it
end as well. I have no problem with that
as long as those who have contributed
get their money back minus any money
already paid adjusted for inflation. But I
don't approve of him shutting it down if
he is gonna do nothing but steal the money
that all have contributed.

Funny thing is the SS issue was completely
untouched at the last GOP TV Debate
and for good reason. If seniors knew
Paul wanted to end SS, he'd never get
elected.
