I believe it is, but of course we'll have a whole slew of people in here arguing that it has nothing to do with it and there's no evidence that planetary alignments/etc have any affect on Earthquakes.. but whatever.

Let's see how this plays out.

I know what you mean ... However, bad things were predicted for tomorrow and today we have this ... It's hard for people to deny that ... But as you said, you'll have some people who'd have had a bad night's sleep, coming in with blah di blah to say

The pacific tsunami warning center is saying NO widespread tsunami. And none for Hawaii.

PTWC

...so people in Vanuatu / Noumea might be shaken up a bit, but mostly (hopefully) no widespread damage.

And as a bit oif trivia, currently the word 'tsunami' is generating 1500 tweets per hour on twitter.

I'll admit, I do get a little bored sometimes and wonder what it would be like for something to happen..

Regardless, I think it's more of a "let's get this # over with already" feeling then a "I hope all of these people DIE" kind of feeling.

Though I wouldn't be surprised if there were people with the latter feeling.
