I'm done with the notion of humanitarianism at the barrel of a gun. It's an idiotic pursuit that leave our people dead at the hands of a backward 7 century ideology that few of us barely understand.

And no one will ever convince me that if the trillions of dollars spent on wars in the middle east had been spent on building - for example - a hydrogen fuel economy and/or a nationwide high speed rail system that we wouldn't all be much better off. And the people of the middle east would basically go back to being bedouins again. A footnote at best on the world stage.
