Im not asking for attention, Im asking for you to give one coherent thought.....or at least I was. Ive given up on that now. Anyone who thinks "we should just make it go away" is a viable argument is hardly worth the time...

How so? Our government has many problems, but I still believe very much in democracy as the alternative is dictatorship or worse.

Democracy is nothing more than dictatorship of the majority. Dont get me wrong, it is quite a good political system, maybe even the best current alternative, at least in countries with educated population. But it certainly is not without mistakes, and there are plenty of stupid laws passed. It is just one of the means to an end, the end being good government in this case. There may be even better ones.

Ok so far, the reasons against that I can recall....

moral values: moot point, if you are against brothels, don't visit one, or get a job at one. no problem there.

slippery slope fallacy: if brothels are legal we will end up pimping out children and dogs.

because I said so: no logic there.

because some forced prostitutes are unhappy now: well duh, they are forced. you can't force anyone to work in any legal business, including a brothel.

I have been here through all the pages, I can't think of any that don't fall under them catagories of fail.
