this bird virus could easily cross the border on your shoe, or through the air....the biggest threat of contamination to the US poultry industry is cockfighting rings bringing infected chickens over the border.

The last time this happened was in the seventies, and millions of chickens had to be killed.

If this were to happen in conjunction with low food availability due to excess cold down south..........

If you're going to re-add that list (assuming it's bird and fish related deaths this year) then please add this to it. This really didn't get any attention today (oops yesterday rather) on ATS that I saw.

poor eagles actually poor anything with wings these days !about
this virus in the op looks like were safe in the us as long as people
do not smuggle in any infected for cockfighting , and thank goodness
it doesn't affect dogs and cats and humans i think these bird deaths
need their own forum here

huh....i guess the big strong eagles can take care of themselves. Now, the weak little blackbird...that's something to pay attention too....(the beatles did, and that worked out for them)

idk...thx for the flag

yeah, it's bird only for now. I think bird virus can cross easily with pig, then to human, but i'm no expert. Cockfighting is a bunch of crap anyhow...

those people should be pecked to death by a duck

You eat KFC?! I guess you like genetically modified chickens that grow multiple body parts. If you think this virus is bad, think of the chemicals you're ingesting.

LOL okay its fiction but...

Anyways, this is interesting. It certainly isn't over yet my friends. Expect more to come.
