Do what?! How can you prove that? That seems like a largely speculative claim but maybe you have some evidence of this?

For a lot of african americans Obama was the great black hope and no matter what he does they want him to remain that way..... They have to uphold him in high respects no matter what wrong he does because this was their chance to prove a black president was going to do things better than all previous presidents and that's not the case.... These people that look down and scoff at you probably have no idea what he is doing in office, I'm sure they can't tell you a single promise he faulted on.... The only way I can think positively about obama is saying to myself that at least we don't have hillary clinton in office!!!

Correct me if I misunderstood, but I think your rant turned into racism. There is an area in my town that is mainly whites and riddled with alcoholics and drug users so blacks aren't the only people affected.
I can only speak for myself, but when I was growing up in the 70's, I was not being told blacks were "thieves and savages" and I had no nightmares of the sort. I am so tired of race crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, I'm not fully black either. I am part white on my father's side. My great-great-great-great grandmother (or something like that) was a lil old white lady who had a baby by a slave. But I'm mostly black, by cultural and genetic definition.

I can understand having pride in your heritage but not the color of your skin. Mine changes every time I go out in the sun. You give people power that they never had to begin with.(Obama?)

No need to do any comparative studies on statements made by other Presidents, like Nixon enjoying regular anti-black tirades, or actually on tape in the National Archives telling Kissinger, "Henry, let's leave the *n-words* to Bill, and we'll take care of the rest of the world", among other outright racial slurs and statements regarding racial inferiority he is on record as using.

Let's ignore the slave-owners, professed haters of Native Americans, and Presidents like Woodrow Wilson.
A man who supported eugenics (the principles of which later inspired Hitler), pushed segregation in his cabinet, bad-mouthed Irish and German immigrants, harassed and fired Black federal employees, and droned on about how wonderful the KKK actually was.

No, no, just an out of context statement he was making about ANOTHER Black teen he'd met at the time said "That's how White folks will do you" (not him), that caused him to reflect on the racism he'd faced thus far. A statement that pushed up the difficulty he had with hearing people say "White folks" in a derogatory sense, when this always reminded him of him smiling mother.

Plus some information on a church he no longer belongs to and has already denounced.

Let's make him the most racist President in the Universe since we're just throwing stuff out there.

That or stop being dramatic, and open a book before trying to pass off the ridiculous as fact.

You didn't prove he is racist and bigoted, but I'm glad you clarified how impossible it would be to prove him to be the MOST racist President in US history after trying to back up a statement that claimed he was.

Oh and we do have enough info to make that out of context statement you put up as proof of racism, pale in comparison to the real thing from other past Presidents.

With that post, no I wasn't being racist and I didn't mean that only black people suffered through this. If you noticed I said "low-income families" because I recognize that income has more to do with a person's environment than race. However because minorities, such as blacks, are what make up a large percent of low-income communities, they are apart of my heritage. Also, as far as being told we were savages and thieves, this is a widely known fact and if you look at any media image directed towards blacks during and before the Civil Rights movement you can see it. Comedians such as Red Foxx and Richard pryor often commented on these hateful messages and how the appeared in whites-only magazines.

I seriously think when the dollar collapses and the Concentration camps are full (Mostly blacks to control the inner cities) Black people will still give him a 99% approval rating!!!

Maybe someday we can all love one another regardless of eye, hair, or skin color. I think white people in general have made a lot of progress. I hope it catches on with other races.

I am really sad that you guys either aren't reading my post or just aren't understanding it. I did not say you don't like him because he's black. If I did, can you find that and point it out for me?

Even though white people are the majority in America as a single race, the combination of minorities makes up more of the American population than white people. So yes, a lot of white people helped vote him in, which I also stated. "White people liked him in the beginning." But many more minorities came out to vote than usual during that election, which was a major contributing factor.

Also, he is threatening white people's wealth EXACTLY because of how he spends the funds. The bankers are white but make up a small percentage of our population. Most white people are not that wealthy, they are high-middle, low-high income families.

I am white, and I voted for Obama based on his youth and vigor and energy and the lack of a viable opponent. McCain shot himself in the arse by picking Palin without even meeting her first or knowing anything about her. I would never have voted for someone that wanted to be a "leader" that chose to make such a bone-headed decision, and that is even if I had liked Palin! Ron Paul refuses to seperate himself from Alex Jones and the weird anarchists and he refuses to mount a real campaign, so I was left with a popular, young, energetic hopeful that was promising "change.' Seemed like a decent bet.

Now, the "change" I was hoping for was not a change from a tyrranical, rights-ending, Patriot Act writing, war-mongering regime into a nanny-state, monstrous government, tax the next 5 generations, protect the corporations, socialist government.

We got screwed!!

So, I feel for you, and I share your sentiment. With Hindsight, how can any of us defend our vote? If you voted for Obama, you got had!. If you voted for McCain, you were an idiot. If you voted for Ron Paul, you are an idealist, and he is not your true leader. If you didn't vote at all, you are part of the problem.

We are still screwed, I just posted in another thread that in 2012, the only viable candidate will be Hillary. The Republicans have some good candidates, but they will handicap themselves with Palin again. Obama has made too many enemies, even in his own party.

Our "Republic" is dead, our "Democracy" is on life-support, and there are 10,000 politicians clamoring over who gets to pull the plug!

You will always be disappointing when you put you faith in men, it isn't even worth arguing about anymore.

Don't let others influence you. You can like or dis-like any President you want. They can treat you like a race trader or "white devil" as you put it(do they really call us that behind our backs? Yikes!! I'm no devil, I love all people, always have.) When it comes to politics or religion, people must make their own decisions.
Stand your ground, and know that no matter what some think, you will always have others that support you.

My wife is Black, I am White, and racism in America is not just one color. My wife faced racism from blacks her whole life for not acting "black" enough. They would call her whitewashed, etc because she was taught to speak articulately and went to private school.
I have 2 step kids, a 16 year old son and 15 year old daughter that catch hell when they go visit their dad (who's also black) because of how they talk, act, and express themselves.
