So, is this going to lead into an Obama, you are a disaster thread?

Controversial isn't a word I would use when describing this painting. Its political leaning is towards the right and personally, the image isn't thought provoking.

That coming from a Brit, I live in Britain and as an US Expat I can honestly say you all are so disconnected from Politics and lean so far liberal anything is right to you.

Don't try to dabble in American politics, they differ greatly from your system hence why the US was formed. If you go to the website of the artist you can see clearly what the painting is about.

This is gonna be about American leaders fornicating on the American constitution.

It sickens every body, but everyone knows nothing can be done. America has transformed itself in to a police state.

Thank you for your gracious warning about American politics. An open forum encourages open dialogue and am happy for my preconceptions of right and left American politics to be challenged and changed.

The Patriot Act was a defining moment in the direction of American governance, yet why weren't people marching in protest to this?

Don't get me wrong, my country is up the creek without a paddle, but if America goes bust what is the domino effect for the rest of the world?

Countries are already piling up trying to take over the US dominance.

Slowly US is letting go of control.

The US citizens are ignorant, as much as fearful of their government people. They just don't admit it because they are ignorant and believe they actually have freedom.

An economic axis shift in power between East and West has already begun. What happens over the next ten years could be very interesting.

Since India allied itself with the US, India is also up for grabs, it is gonna be hard, but China is already in there. China wants to create a strong seperatist movement in Kashmir to start the break up of India through Pakistan.
What are Chinese troops doing in Kashmir?

Interesting read.

Well, first you called this painting leaning to the right, when in fact it has nothing to do with the right. It is about the systematic dismantling of America. You can see from the painting all of this. The author clearly states what every piece of this painting means at this link.

Seriously go check it out, I am not going to try and change your view of how American Politics work as a discussion board is not appropriate, we would have to go get a few pints somewhere as I am sure it would become pretty lengthy
I have already had quite a few discussion's about American politics/Foreign Policy/Healthcare and Gun ownership since I have been out here and it was a discussion that lasted longer than I would like to admit.

I will. They always says politics, sex and religion should never be discussed at the bar, but they always make for the best conversations!

Well sometimes people don't want to listen to a communist atheist scumbag type whilst drinking their beer.

That 'rule' was probably made to stop them spreading their socialist tripe - and thus reducing the incidents of violence. One is less likely to punch a statist in the mouth if he doesn't start running it about glorious atheistic socialism
