You would bring such callousness to the subject of people faced with dying by burning alive or dying by falling from such heights?

On one hand you're saying there's nothing wrong with parachutes but then you say there's something wrong with me for mentioning parachutes..

Nine years,World War Two was over in 6 years and whilst many escaped justice a large number at Nurenberg and in Japan of the major war criminals had been hung by the 9 year mark.Two wars later and not one major planner or participant in 9/11 has seen a day in court in 9 years,they've got one dude in Guantanamo that may or may not of been involved they captured in Pakistan but thats it,thats the thing of 9/11 for me that no justice has or probably ever will happen.

Care to explain? I was being serious but apparently people think it's stupid to be safety conscious. If the stairs are blocked and there's a fire and you're faced with falling...

The War in Afghanistan was initiated after 9/11 for the supposed purpose of hunting down Osama Bin Laden, whom the media blamed for the 9/11 attacks.

The War in Iraq was based on (non-existent) WMDs but for some reason, the media was able to sway the public into believing that Saddam was responsible for 9/11.

I wouldn't say lack of empathy. It's true that 3,000 souls perished that day. Over time, I came to realize that we were being lied to. It took years and I hold the U.S government responsible for these deaths.

Also, watching the whole incident unfold on tv was surreal and emotionally numbing. Some people deal with this by downplaying or trying to forget that such events happened because they were highly traumatic.
