Chat not working?

Anybody else unable to log into chat? I was in it like 10 minutes ago and all of a sudden it konked out. Figured it was my crappy internet but whenever I try to go back on it says this:

Failed to Connect
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 74.86.5.191:8080.
Though the site seems valid, the browser was unable to establish a connection.
* Could the site be temporarily unavailable? Try again later.
* Are you unable to browse other sites? Check the computer's network connection.
* Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with Web browsing.

I tried chrome, thinking maybe its a Firefox issue, and I get a different but similar message:

The webpage at 74.86.5.191:8080...,0,0,0,0&nn=WolfofWar&pu=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.abovetopsecret.com%2Fforum%2Fmem%2FWolfofWar&au=&hmac=90e61ff9cf1f4d6c40c0a9061d33 47c0 might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

Yeah, I got the exact same message as well.

I got a U2U from 2 other membes who were in at the time as well and chat doesn't work for them either for some reason.

Considering the conversation that was occurring I'd have to say that this 'error' is either the work of someone at Area 51 or an act of God.

That is my theory and I'm sticking to it.

Oh, and another theory - MolecularPhD's superiors have discovered he is sharing his secrets in Chat and have put an end to it.

Lets hope ATS are fitting a better server.

And a glowing chat button,and an ATS live radio button,whole system needs an upgrade.

The upgrade was supposed to happen a while ago, however I suspect the ATS 2010 version is actually going to become ATS 2011.75 or something to that effect with the issues they have ran into.

I have to admit, the timing was impeccable. Oh, and to the earlier question on the chat, no I didn't ever post them here. They are not mine to share and it is a crime to do so. Besides the point they are essentially order forms for rather mundane things, it's just interesting namely to where they were going and the fact that a lot of them were x-projects.

I successfuly logged in, ... checked the other rooms and accidentaly clicked "exit" which logged me out.

every time I tried to login it wouldn't work, figured it was something I did, .... or the members had conspired to keep me out somehow. Like a bar Stella from chat petition or something.

This is not a member-related issue. I suspect it is as was suggested, related to the server.

The staff has been alerted, so be patient please....

Hopefully a simple reset of the service will correct the issue.

I love how y'all conspiracy theorists lean TOWARD the idea that a spook pulled the plug on the chat box due to what y'all were saying. Only on ATS would it be cool to have something like that happen because of you

I believe it was a satirical statement. The spooks would never shut anything on this site down, it works all too well as a disinfo platform.

I caught the humor , but people are definitely thinking that it could have been a possibility and I was having a laugh because it's sort of funny.

On an unrelated note, how did I end up on WolfofWar's foe list
