I highly doubt this has hit a volcano as the temperature of the leak would be so hot I think you would be able to tell from the footage.

I think this is interesting though:

en.wikipedia.org...

There is a volcano off the coast of Italy that could collapse and cause a wave to wipe out a huge portion of Italy.

I imagine this would be a similar situation if they did tap a volcano, therefore, it would take years of spewing to create the same situation.

lava would simply pour out of the hole just as they do elsewhere.

It is not going to explode and wipe out the coast. No underwater volcano has exploded like you imply this one would.

This whole situation is just f#, i mean, who in there right mind would put a oil rig here. OH, I'M SORRY, BP WOULD. OH, the pressure bp ,could make so much money and the oil would just gush out. bp to make mega buck. HEY BP, shove a few more golf balls down there maybe that will plug the leak. I'M sure the CEO of BP has plenty of that equipment laying around.

Have you been to the Gulf? Have you seen how many rigs are off shore? Not just BP is out there.

Could a sea floor collapse been the fate of Atlantis? Future Earth maps show the gulf area under water.
In the Tom Brown books there is a prophecy about the sky bleeding. Could the gases from this leak burn the color red? Once the sky bleeds, the world of man has one year to become children of the Earth.
Also, in a previous thread, some video clips showed what looked like fire in the oil and it was debated that so little oxygen exists at that depth that fire was unlikely. However, could this have been magma coming up?

Hey, all...just wanted to throw my 10 cents in here. Just for the record, I AM a geologist. That being said, I'm very, very certain that drilling into a batholith or pluton would almost certainly result in...nothing! The reason why nothing would happen is that all a batholith/pluton really is is a really big rock. At one time it was magma, but it cooled and turned into an igneous rock. If it was still molten it wouldn't be called a batholith or pluton, it would be called magma. So, I'm not quite sure what all the fuss over drilling into one is about other than a misunderstanding.
Guys, it's NOT a volcanoe underneath the ocean floor. Relax. Nothing is going to blow up. Amazes me how people ignored this.

Ok...I didn't read the whole thread *ducks and dodges thrown items*, just read the OP and skimmed the replies

But from the OP...am I hearing that your big concern is that it might be a volcanoe??? And this is somehow going to kill us all???

Volcanoes occur all the time in the ocean...in fact I think the majority of them do.

Source

So could someone please explain to me how this would be any different and why it would be so bad???

Second of all...did someone just say that BP drilled into the Earth's core???

I'm sorry...does anyone really believe that?

Aside from the Moderators of this forum that like to spread propaganda by sticking every oil post, Half of what the OP said here [could] be true. Everything the OP talks about can be found in mass resource via google but displays quite a bit of propaganda in it's self.

The thread title breaks an ATS rule.

Sorry for being honest but I feel as if the North East coast has nothing to worry about. Maybe global depopulation is what's needed in order for the Earth to survive. If that's the case I will die a happy person if I'm on that depopulation list.

Btw this whole post reminds me of GC

I found a few answers a couple days ago several on the Veritas site which in my opinion answers alot of hysteria. The unknown lets the imagination run wild.

veritasshow.blogspot.com...

taped interview with Chief of Police Euris DuBois refer to 80.3.

I'll paraphrase this good old boy.

He wants all the press coverage he can get and will send Deputies to escort them. One "person" was arrested for trespassing while taking a sample. Nobody else has been arrested by the Police or Sherrif.

The no fly zone has been in place since he can remember. It is above the area where empty and full tankers enter / leave the gulf and for obvious security it is a Coast Guard no fly zone.

The locals are all working on the cleanup. Thier fishing demolished they need the work.

The guard has brought all sorts of machinery and are helping to build sand berms, lay booms and clean up. Have been helpful and responsive.

End Interview notes.

People will get ill when working on the spill due to the fumes. Happens all the time.

It was reported days ago that the top kill effort stopped due to suspedted down hole damage. google it you will find the report.

Camera's have been confiscated, people threatened with arrest for taking pictures and some even jailed.

A no fly zone has been enforced above 3,000 ft.

The locals seem to know very little.

The Guard is there, but what are they doing.

People are getting ill, and the CDC is there.

The top kill effort failed! It was said we would not know for at least 48 hours, yet, they shut down the project in less than 24 hours, no explanation, just shut it down immediately.
Why?

My question. Why hasn't anyone looked at the epa data on the net. There is no verification to the hoopla over benzine or acid being 100 times the alowable limits. I looked at days of data and can find on verification of this rumor/ interview on Alex Jones show.

We need to get the word out to whom.
If this is as monumental of an event as you propose, then send your family plane fare money.
I do not think that a six inch hole into a batholith will
cause it to erupt.

thanks for the post OP.

If what you are speculating is true and that a volcano is beneath the drill site then we may well be in serious trouble and I don't just mean the people in the local area but it would be a global event.

just like when they talk of yellowstone. the danger with yellowstone is not just the volcano but the real danger is yellowstone lake. if all of that water were to collapse into the volcano the resulting steam that would be created would create the catastrophic explosion.

now if you transfer that scenario to say the ocean collapsing into the undersea volcano the rusulting explosion at those depts would be unimaginable. you have every right to be worried but an event on that scale could very well shake the whole earth and perhaps shift it's axis along with all the rest of the doom and gloom you could ever imagine.

Personally I believe this event to be a global killer even without the volcano being brought into the equation. I don;t like to be the bringer of bad news but if you can't beat them join them. thanks for the post.

SUMMARY OF EXPECTATIONS

At some point the drilled hole in the earth will enlarge itself beneath the wellhead to weaken the area the wellhead rests upon. The intense pressure will then push the wellhead off the hole allowing a direct unrestricted flow of oil, etc.

The hole will continue to increase in size allowing more and more oil to rise into the Gulf. After several billion barrels of oil have been released, the pressure within the massive cavity five miles beneath the ocean floor will begin to normalize. This will allow the water, under the intense pressure at 1 mile deep, to be forced into the hole and the cavity where the oil was. The temperature at that depth is near 400 degrees, possibly more. The water will be vaporized and turned into steam, creating an enormous amount of force, lifting the Gulf floor.

It is difficult to know how much water will go down to the core and therefore, its not possible to fully calculate the rise of the floor. The tsunami wave this will create will be anywhere from 20 to 80 feet high, possibly more. Then the floor will fall into the now vacant chamber. This is how nature will seal the hole. Depending on the height of the tsunami, the ocean debris, oil, and existing structures that will be washed away on shore and inland, will leave the area from 50 to 200 miles inland devoid of life. Even if the debris is cleaned up, the contaminants that will be in the ground and water supply will prohibit re-population of these areas for an unknown number of years. (End of scientists information release.)

Wow
You better pack more than ammo, pack a lunch too maybe several.
Especially since you just warned the alphabet soup agencies your intention over the intarwebs. Whether you meant it or not you said it.
Better yet, might we find a peaceable solution?
I’m kind of fond of evacuating the southern coast and using a nuke to seal the well.
If it doesn’t work then oh well we tried. If it turns into a real bad situation, once again oh well we tried and got what we deserved.
All in all I’m hopeful that something works and we’ll get a handle on this situation, I do however think we will lose some folks due to contamination of some sort.
We should have listened to Tesla but greed got us I guess.
