Miss USA crowns Arab-American Muslim immigrant

She is American and a Catholic. Some would find this more disturbing than her being Arab and Muslim.

Im about as conservative as it gets and I think she is VERY pretty. I could care less what her religion or ethnic background is ... a good looking babe is a good looking babe period.

I Think she looks very ummmm......SMART.

Yes I don't know why the title of this thread and media sources are using the term "Muslim" with her, she's clearly not a Muslim, but Arab-American fits. I kind of get the impression that Muslims might not approve of this attire:

So it turns out that Rima Fakih is an amateur pole dancing champion.

Did she strip, or didn't she? I don't know. It's clear that she danced next to a stripper pole in a strip club, but does that mean she stripped? Again I don't know. If you've got more facts/sources that say she actually stripped as you claim, then please back up your claim with a source.

I'm not sure that dancing next to a stripper pole in a strip club constitutes stripping, does it? (if that's all she did, but I admit I'm not sure exactly what she did, I guess the investigation is ongoing).

I don't know what she is...nor do I care.

All I know is that she is absolutely SMOKIN' hot!!!

Congrats to her. Everyone is assuming she's Muslim since she's of Arab descent. Many Arab's are not Muslim or are not devout Muslim's. If she is Muslim i'd say she's more secular based on that sweet bathing suit pic.

Yes she is an American but also an Arab immigrant. She went to Catholic school but her faith is Islam. Kinda interesting considering she wore hotpants in a pole dancing competition at a radio station.

edit: She didn't strip, she just did a pole dance for a radio station contest. I have Muslim friends and no orthodox Muslims would not go for her attire but you know there are "cafeteria" Muslims just like other religions.
