Well we know what the response will be if they destroy a mosque, another uprising of epic proportions.

Ahmed Bahr, a senior Hamas official in the Gaza Strip, called for a “military strike” against Israel. He claimed that Israel had just built a synagogue on the Temple Mount as part of its plan to destroy the Aksa Mosque. He also called on the Arab countries to withdraw their support for holding indirect talks between Israel and the PA.

Military strike with what??? More inept rockets?

The armed wing of Hamas, Izaddin al-Kassam, said recent events in Jerusalem will lead to “a new explosion in the face of the Zionist entity.” The group called on the PA to stop security coordination with Israel and to allow armed gangs to resume terror attacks against Israelis.

That will give Israel the opportunity to send the tanks into Gaza again, and pick off Hamas fighters one-by-one.

History deemed to repeat itself over and over again as each generation resorts to continue to fighting and terrorising the other side.

Abbas Zaki, a member of the Fatah Central Committee, predicted that the violence, which broke out in Jerusalem in the past few days, would escalate “if Israel insisted on pursuing its scheme to rebuild the so-called Temple Mount.”

Zaki and several Fatah and PA officials have in recent days claimed that the inauguration of the newly renovated synagogue in the Old City of Jerusalem was part of a conspiracy aimed at destroying the Aksa Mosque.

The Dome of the Rock is one of the three holiest places in Islam. Tearing it down or attacking it would invite reprisals from far more than the Palestinians.

It would in fact likely unite the Islamic world against Zionist Israel as they have never been united before.

It would touch off a broad Middle East War and lead to Arab Oil Embargos against any nation aiding Israel in that war.

Personally I think that the average Israeli needs to get out of the sun. It’s clearly baking their brains!

Nothing will be able to save Israel if it tears down that Mosque. It will set off a war of such epic proportions to make all other wars seem pale in comparison.

Israel is not touching the Temple Mount for reasons you just described. It seems the Palestinians are getting their panties in a bunch because a synagogue that is near the Temple Mount is being rededicated. The synagogue sits on a site that has housed synagogues since antiquity.

Jerusalem is holy to Christians, Muslims, and Jews. All people of all faiths should have access to it and should be allowed to build houses of worship in it. It seems Muslims want it all for themselves and want to make it like Mecca or Medina, two cities in which non-Muslims are forbidden to enter.

Israel isn't going to do anything to the Al Asqa Mosque.

There is absolutely nothing to gain by harming the Mosque.

It wont be torn down but rather knocked down .

An earthquake will split the mount in two .

You know how rumours spread that could have the same effect as Israel actually demolishing it. The militias seem eager to fight and any old excuse will do.

Its the third most important after the ones in Medina and Mecca.

The Temple Mount is where the Prophet ascended into the Heavens after the Night Journey, which is why its the third most sacred site in Islam.

In the recent past the Temple Mount has been hit with quakes measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale .

These quakes have actually " open a large hole on the Temple Mount plaza, near the Dome of the Rock. " www.israelnationalnews.com...

that al aqsa can stay, Israel needs the south ground....that's where the old one was. they could access running water to rinse the alter, that's important( they need running water to do it)....the south ground is the only place possible( will need digging)...the mosque is undiggable because of bedrock below

Actually the orignial accords granted the Holy See sovereignty over Jerusalem in perpitueity.

It was the Zionists who broke those accords not the Muslims.

Even under the Ottoman Turks the city was open to all religions as the Mufti of Jerusalem coined the now faumous saying "Status Quo" in how he apportioned out the Holy sites to various Christian, Muslim and Hebrew sects to run and maintain.

The Palestinians do want Jerusalem as their capitol.

It was not the Palestians who destroyed the Second Temple and drove the Jews into Diaspora but Rome.

Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock are two completely different mosques. Dome of the Rock is the place where Prophet Muhammad ascended to Heaven. Al-Aqsa is the mosque built by Jacob, son of Isaac.

Every time Al-Aqsa Mosque is mentioned they show pictures of and start talking about the Dome of the Rock. It is a deception and distraction by the MSM. This is deliberately done so that when you research Dome of the Rock and look at current photos and/or videos of it, everything looks fine and dandy.

Now, go research photos and videos of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and you start to see the real extent of the Israeli Government's encroachment onto the sacred site.

Well we know that somehow, someway that third temple will be built. There will be a peace treaty during this time that is supposed to last for seven years. Three and a half years in, the Antichrist is supposed to desecrate the temple by placing himself as the object of worship. That's when all hell breaks loose literally. Sounds like a good time will be had by all! When will we pull our heads out of our...?

The Israelis do want to reclaim the temple mount to build the third temple but they wont because it would start ww3. Muslims are pretty paranoid about this site, probably rightly so.

No seriously, some of these people, evangelical christians, muslims and jews, do want that mosque gone so they can build their third temple because they think it will bring the end of the world... bunch of nutjobs....

Anyway this is gonna end badly.

The thing they should do is make Jerusalem a neutral city with UN troops patrolling it, no arms allowed inside.
