Petition to preserve ATS Chat service

hello fellow members,

Please do not close the chat, chatrooms have always served me very well, they provide with information that might cost hours to obtain otherwise, and they always make for a nice conversation

I am intending to use the chat very often once i figure out why it wont let me in -haha-

anyway, chat is always a very underestimated, very helpfull thing to have.

Because you only have 8 posts and i'm afraid you need 200 of them to get in.

I check in there now and then to see if there is any good discussions boiling over from the forums.

but i have to admit I never see anyone in there. So if their going to overhaul the site rather then ditch something they already made and remove an option why not find a way to better maximize its exposure?

well im just saying when i buy a car i dont tell them to take out the heated mirrors.

The only reason i joined this site was for the chat room. It's gonna suck if i get 200 posts and then they take it down. If they do take it down then i will be subscribing to another website for sure.

Especially on weekends, Saturday night ATS live..brings us all together in chat. We can't all mutter together.
It's the Penguins fault.

Unfortunately I can't think of a song title to express exactly what I am feeling on this subject so I'll just say it..

Please please please please don't' take away our chat It's often times a great way to just blow off steam talking about nonsense...

ats chat getting the boot? Its like activision is running this place. (gamers will get this with the recent infinity ward fiasco.)

A few years back chat was SO ACTIVE and it was a riot........ATS even hosted amazing who done its on Halloween via the chatroom.........used to be that 10 to 30 folks a night were in there, me included. I still go in about once a week looking for chat pals and sopmetimes folks are there sometimes not. I dont understand WHY it is so underused by the newer membership (since 2005) but it just is......back when it was MORE used I felt closer to the members of ATS, because we could poke fun of one another in chat.....

I am VERY SAD at how ATS's main focus seems to be of a commercial frame of mine.

I just started to enjoy the chat service on ATS, it would be a shame to lose such a good technological form of real time communication. Sometimes I do not feel the wish to post on message boards to hold my KB of data for eternity... BOOOOO!! to breaking the chat.. Will lose something from me at certain times, and not get the potential of knowledge that helps all deny the ignorance in 2010........... Keep it around, I will click on the ads more I promise...

By using the chatroom, we get to know each other better and become closer as a community. I would be extremely disappointed if it closed.

Close it, if you like.

People moan when they have something taken away. but they never use it.

I used to use it, there was never more than 4/5 poeple in there. and thats when its busy.

it mostly stays empty.

It looks to me like its already been closed as I haven't been able to access it since about Saturday, keep getting the 'unknown error' message when trying to join a room.

If chat stays open, I won't talk about my wife anymore.

Even that didn't save chat!
It appears to be gone. I haven't been able to access it in a couple of days, just getting errors now.
I've written a memorial thread in it's honour.


We'll just have to talk about Tater Tots somewhere else. Lmao! Make a thread about them, or something
