It looks to me that south America is aligning with the Argentinians. That means a formidable foe for the UK. A little flame burning their bottom.

Yes some would say that the Argies are a pain in the backside.

But sovereign territory is exactly that.
How would the Argies like it if a British nuclear sub got CONFUSED and ended up sailing in the rio de plata on the shores of Buenas Aires.

Well done, good to have someone point out some facts..

It seems that many Brits have a hobby of stereotyping France as a non friend even though with the EU, they are pretty much the same country..

And many Yanks have bought the 'Freedom Fries' propaganda about France.

As you said though, it is funny.

Sources told The Sun that the ship made an “innocent navigational blunder” and were embarrassed about the mistake.
It is believed that the Drummond was spotted sailing alongside a French fleet before it broke away and headed for the disputed zone.

I don't buy that it was a mistake. When it left the French fleet, surely it knew where it was and where it was going. After all, there is no mention that the captain was drunk or asleep or anything...

I think they were just testing the Brits out.

Empires are over

Britain should return those islands to Argentina, and if the people there right now don't want to become Argentinians then they can catch the first ship back to the U.K.

In that case I suppose you are also getting on the first ship back to the UK?

Probably just seeing how quick we will react to anything out of the ordinary...not a mistake and not an act of aggression. Similar to all those Russian planes that get escorted away from the UK.

Dude, don't feed the trolls. This has been argued on other threads for days now.

I wondered when someone was going to post about this.... They are starting to get a little cheeky the old argies.. They had better watch it... The Navy is still sore about HMS Sheffield...

Yes and this time I don't think they will turn off the ships defences like they did with the Sheffield.

Fail.

Argentina never owned the islands.

Deny ignorance or continue to look foolish.

Thank God someone said it.

Perhaps some ats members would like to think about why on earth have a ship patrolling when you can simply have global hawk which has a running cost of 1/100.000 to that of a ship capable of warning and shooting should the situation become needed.

Oh these young generals and their war toys.

How many soldiers can the hawk carry?
