Thank you Slayer for taking the time to post all of that. I hope the fellow ATSers will read the data. That movie explains alot. I never doubted China as a world power, but they still have a ways to go before they can start shoving us around. Nobody knows what the future entails, but just because we MIGHT lose our #1 spot does not mean we won't still be a supwerpower.

Stuff about china is really frightening because at any moment they could call the U.S. On the massive debt that we owe them and stop exporting and then where would we be?

WOW imagine that!!!! We would have to actually start creating jobs here in the US and make things ourselves????? What a novel concept!!!

People are losing sight of what may be really happening here. This isn't a China against America event. This is a war on the American people and the soverignty of the last remaining nation that won't give up it's rights. The elites have been planning for the NWO for so long now and must first crush American spirit by examples such as breaking up families by making divorce a better option for women (who are not as likely to"fight" the government violently), the women usually get everything in the divorce and the husband is left in destitution usually without any means for survival and because lack of payment to the woman ends up in jail with no possibility of getting a job in the future that can pay what the government has ordered. Many states even remove the drivers license from the man so that he can't even find work. This crushes the spirit of the man. Also, women have been given most of the reigns these days and more and more men are finding themselves in vocational subjugation to women which emasculates the male figure. This is designed by the government to crush the man's spirit and to rob him of his fight. Another example of the war on the American people is to take the financial might of a once great nation and bankrupt it to oblivion and to make the nation itself in debt (much like the men of the country) so that the country will be in subjugation to the Federal Reserve and the NWO. There is a reason why the United States outsourced the majority of it's wares to China in the first place. Why would a country "put all of it's eggs in one basket"? So that at anytime that help was needed to cripple America and break the back of the dollar, China could just cut us off and we would essentially be useless as far as pecuniary income. I'm just saying that this might be just another NWO tactic to drain us even more financially, ....creating a depression, thus giving a reason to install the new currency and merge the Canada/United States/Mexico free trade union. Will they call it the NAU (North American Union)...who knows ...who cares. Just saying keep an eye open, this could be a well staged trap.

This actually was a very stupid move by the U.S. because China controls the U.S. economy.

If they decide that they want to stop buying the debt, or wanted their money back the U.S. economy would crumble within a few short months.

This however is of course the entire point for this move. Obama wants to make the U.S. a 3rd world country in order to usher in the New World Order after third world war has happened, which will be sometime in February.

lol the third world war will have started and already ended in february? i really hope that was a joke

Yes because China owns America.

This is complete and utter bs actually.

China does not "own America", and you could never prove it because it's not true.

The international banks own America and own China. Both nations are under the thumb of them.

Please look it up. The media got you saying that stuff, even though its extremely misleading.

It's like a European can do business in China and you will start calling him "Chinese" or something.

Remember, the entire world poured trillions of dollars in investment into China in the last 30years.

They used to be isolated and poor and there was hardly any industry or wealth before Nixon went...

united states does need to worry about the world debt to china .But that is a conversation for another topic . China has its own problems and would never make there self look stupid by asking for the dept........And no china does not own America...If they did the united states would not be fighting 2 wars at the same time..China has its own problems trying to own japan

And as long as America is strong the world can still enjoy great music like this

I read through this whole thread and didn't see one single mention of what would really happen if the US stopped doing business with China.

You think we'd just magically create jobs overnight? Remake thousands of factories for companies that have had it so good for so long in other countries?

That's ridiculous.

China has the US right where it wants them, no matter what you guys dream will happen. If they were to stop dealing with us, they'd sell their stuff to someone else. They have the manufacturing, they have the ability. We do not.

It's a joke to think we can just "stop" buying chinese...it's like having a hardcore meth addict stop cold turkey...it will basically destroy them, although they might end well enough, the destruction will be enough to end us.

Anything but the US's destruction is a pipe dream, simple as that. Our debt is ridiculous and unpayable, our military is bloated, our people are weak. This is the reality of our situation, anything else is just denial.

I think I did cover that just a few posts back. 6 posts back to be exact, but yeah, people on here seem to have blinders on a bit and see what the government wants them to see much like a magician. Not everyone, but many.

To say the true China can destroy to the basement US economy with really little effort.
If you don´t have noticed is China that is feeding USA since some yeras and actually China is the biggest creditor of USA with more than 768 bilion dollar of T-Bonds in its hands.
If China start selling these T-Bonds what do you think would happend to dollar? Something like that happend in Roswelt.. a crash!
Or in the case in the next T-Bond auction China won´t buy them and will stop feeding the USA... do you know what means the word "DEFAULT"? You´ll learn.

Lucky Chinese know that it would be a big damage for them too, as the T-Bonds they have in their hands would be toilet paper and the collaps of USA would mean the collaps of Earth economy.. so won´t do that for the moment... BUT! for the moment, as Chinese are people with ethnical consciousness and are able to sacrify more generations in plans with long long view.
Sometime, that will happend.

Look at this table and think...

throwing it out there with out much fact to back it up, but surely if America cut off import from China wouldn't that create much needed jobs and growth in the US because they would have to start producing things themselves? and in turn, couldn't the US then start exporting some of the things it made? i have a limited knowledge of the relationship between the US and China in regards to imports/exports and the impact of the relationship, so bear that in mind before everybody flames me. just an idea.

IF China ever does come calling in the debt the US owes them, then I suggest that we load up all of their crappy products the US has bought over the years and say "hey, we want a refund"...consider this boat load of crap "Payment in full"

I have suggested the same thing in a thread some time ago...seems like that would work...but I'm no economist.
