The act of defacing an American flag while one dares to wear their uniform is pathetic. This man should be beaten for breaking his oath. It's fine to think one think while your government makes you fight for another, but you don't deface your own flag. Boo to this man.

2) Do you think they would have this headline:
Killer recites Christian prayer as he's put to death for murder of Toledo store owner
I clicked on this thread to make that exact point. There seems to be an all out campaign to make Americans hate Muslims.
Thats funny, because it seems Muslims have been on an all out campaign to make Muslims hate everyone that isn't Muslim. You know, us infidels? They have a pretty large head start as well.
"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."
-- Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials
Have you ever read the Koran? Do you know what the angel Gabriel told Mohammad?
If this is not the "true face" of Muslims, then why haven't the "Moderate Muslims" taken back control of their religion? How can just these "few fanatics" been the ones responsible for leading the religion where it is today?
And the action of defacing a US flag while in a US uniform is also pathetic.
It was during this time, the late 1780's, that the US started encountering our old friends from Tripoli. Tripoli at this time was part of the Barbary coast, and was part of the Barbary pirates.

I think you are mistaking the fanatics that are always in the news for the average Muslim. There is no campaign like the one you speak of.
Respectfully, you need to become more familiar with Islam and it's intolerance of those who do not believe along with it's generally violent message.

The creation of both the United States Navy, and the US Marine corp, were directly as the result from attacks from Islamic states.
Get your facts strait, and take your own blinders off.

"There's no god but God, and Muhammed is his prophet.
That's what he's saying," said Charlotte Darwish, the widow of Smith's victim, as she watched the execution with her two daughters. It was a prayer she'd frequently heard her late husband, Sohail Darwish, recite.

Using this logic you can make the case that the "true face" of Christianity is pedophilia. Why haven't moderate Christians taken back control of the Catholic church?
I DO know quite a few Muslim people from where I work. Honestly, they are quite standoffish. There are a few exceptions, but most of them I know choose not to participate in team events, even when invited.
Couple that with what I hear DAILY on the MSM and read daily in the paper and on the internet and my suspicions are stoked. I'm not going to sit back and pretend I'm not affected by the MSM browbeating since 9/11 and I'm not going to be ashamed that I see Muslims in a more suspicious light. I'll be happy to stop once the level of terror threats against the U.S. from the Middle East cease for an extended period of time. I would rather be more vigilant and aware than blissfully ignorant and have my family become victims.
