The legislation is designed to extend coverage to roughly 31 million of the nearly 50 million Americans who lack it, crack down on insurance company practices that deny or dilute benefits and curtail the growth of spending on medical care nationally.

This is a bad thing? LOL riiiiight.

The GOP opposition is massive for this 10yr plan to help their fellow Americans and why? Because they will do whatever it takes to damage Obama, whatever it takes to get back power regardless of how many American lives they destroy in the process.

From what I gather the plan will be 950 billion or so over 10yrs. Funny how 10yrs of military spending could come in at over 12 trillion dollars and the GOP doesn't make a sound.. Slap Obama's name on something however and BOOYAA!! it's a fight to the death. I get the sense Americans are waking up to the games they are playing. They've nearly destroyed the country with 8yrs of Bush, now they need to step aside and shut the f! up so the rest of us can get out of this mess.

actually the bad thing i would assume is the gross expenditures as well as the abortion issue ... and the very real notion that the estimates now will be higher in the future.. from the standpoint of the gop

and as far as getting out of this mess, spending is really not an option. Government spending is what put us here billions of dollars thrown at a failing economy.... billions of dollars thrown at healthcare trillions of dollars thrown at the military.... spending just needs to be cut back and maybe we have a hope of not suffering bankruptcy

Everyone should just step aside and let Obama fix everything huh?
Show me one good reason why we should EVER expect this administration to do the right thing when it comes to the economy?
I mean, so far, hes doing a kick ass job. Got the Chinese tellin the rest of the world to dump our dollar because this administration doesnt know its ass from its elbow. But its ok, Barrack Hussein Obama is on the job, he will make everything bright again, and everyone will recieve ultimate tranquility here on earth from here on out. No Need To Fear, Our Messiah is here.

Some dont get their way and they resort to.."Wahhh, we control the whole G.Damned Senate yet we cant pass this bill because even my own people think its a crock of ####". They are all barkin up the wrong tree over here.

You want to give everyone healthcare, but you arent willing to give everyone a say about giving everyone healthcare, talk about hypocrisy.

Nothing personal reasonable, I just think you are pissed off at the wrong crowd. You should be pissed off at the people who wrote and designed this bill, they are the ones screwing with peoples heads, not us regular folk. Like we have a say anyhow, your own party controls everything, there should be no excuses for them not to be able to pass this(and btw, the Bush blaming game only gets you so far when making an arguement about Obama).

Estimates???

WTF is that?

You mean you can take numbers and calculate them to try to predetermine the cost of something over an extended period of time?

I'll be damned...

cause' I know a couple folks on here who would bash you for suggesting the existence of such a process.

very real notion that the estimates now will be higher in the future

I am glad you firmly defend such things, revolutionary thinking

you are a true patriotic!

Some might say things like this;

of course you can provide your equations and your postulations about trends that you are speculating on without providing any real economical facts that's fine.

However I think your first statement has some merit even though it does not produce any real economic fact.

hah if you cant see whats wrong with your train of thought, I cant help you.

Number 1 read my first post your arguing nothing.

Number 2 Why do you think you are an authoritative voice on the issue?
I'll answer that for you every kid thinks he knows everything....

Number 3 Your arguments are literally the same thing over and over you'll never give supporting evidence just some half cocked equation that you decided to accept as fact

My train of thought was yours - assuming price would increase based upon simple observations and estimating an outcome - I would not bash you for trying to use your own brain to determine things based upon the little information you have.

Some people would though, so I've heard

The partisanship quote?
In that case I was trying to provide more information, I realized after being called Marx several times my efforts were futile.

Or the quote-

"Grandstand - Oppose - Pretend"

Thats a given, poor choice on my behalf trying to point out the obvious.

Or

"the GOP want to create freedom by allowing more power to the corporations that subvert the government"

G + O + P

Since you put it that way...

1. A trillion to build nations (and provide American tax payer money for their healthcare)

Or use

2.A Trillion in American tax payer money for American healthcare

1 all the way

Spreading freedoms while fighting socialismization!

Amen

These are the schemes to rob every Americans from their last penny. 16 Trillion on War who pockets the profits? Health Plans, different health organizations know that Government option (single payer) and their monopoly over the pockets of Americans are gone. Today you close the Federal postal Service and you will see the rates will jump to at least double over night. So how the damn republican Senators can tell us that the Government intervention is toxic. They are lying. They are crooks nothing else. The so called socialized health system in many countries work very well. I have seen them in England, in France and in Germany. It works lot better than our American system. Every word of Siko documentary movie is accurate. But if Jesus himself comes down to America even then Republican Senators will say he is lying and that he is phony. Wake up America and don't follow the clowns.

Yes, that is because it will cost money and help people. GOP are not happy if people are eating or healthy and they are not making money off it. They will kill everyone on this planet if they get the chance.

Plus they just want to see America "fail at any cost" or has everyone forgot that they said that when they lost in 2008?.

how about you shut the f! up.

You liberals think you have everything figured out when the fact is obama hasn't done NOTHING to create new jobs, We are all losing jobs left and right and all obama does is say "jobs are coming", so where are the jobs? Fact is obama cares more about getting the olympics in chicago then getting new jobs in america or to cut spending (something he said he was going to do). And now you having obama bowing like the little dog he to the japs and other countries. but yet you are going to sit there and tell us to "shut the f! up"?

See that anger? in the words? they will kill everyone.

All off topic also they just want to call names and misdirection. Anything that takes away from the point when you have no answer. Or anger baiting, they can not be made to see unless its through a scope to kill something.

And you conservatives have done everything to eliminate old jobs that use to exist here. Then you Grandstand, Oppose and Pretend your people did not have the reigns during most of the last decade. Fact is you guys care more about Obama bowing than
learning from you past mistakes.
