Actually I am sorry that I abuse you. I don't mean to take it out of your hide. What I hate is the twisting of scripture to prove a point. THAT is
what I rage against, as a person you are probably an interesting and informed individual.
As far as I can remember I have only attacked you for corrupting the bible's meaning, and that I will not stop. As I will not stay silent and see the
bible used as a political tool.
Also whenever I show you what the bible ACTUALLY says, even back to the original Hebrew or whatever, you are so blinkered, and so entrenched in your
own mindset that you carry on with the same lies.
So I expect no change from you when again I show you that you are wrong in your biblical statements.
The problem is not the bible, but your
beliefs.
The verse you are talking about is where Gehazi tried to get money from Naaman.
Naaman had gone to elisha suffering from leprosy (a generic name for any skin disease) that turned his skin flaky white. Elisha healed him. When
Elisha found out what Gehazi did he put the disease the had taken from Naaman onto Gehazi.
The "white" is the symptom of the disease and occurs frequently through the bible, even in the NT. I am not sure if what is translated as leprosy is
infact leprosy as we know it, or some other medical disorder, or just a catch all for "skin diseases"
2Ki 5:26
But Elisha asked him, "Don't you realize that I was there in spirit when Naaman stepped down from his chariot to meet you? Is this the time to
receive money and clothing and olive groves and vineyards and sheep and oxen and servants?
Because you have done this, you and your children and your children's children will suffer from Naaman's leprosy forever." When Gehazi left the
room, he was leprous; his skin was as white as snow.
tsara`ath = leprosy
a) in people, malignant skin disease (Le. 13-14)
b) in clothing, a mildew or mould (Le. 13:47-52)
c) in buildings, a mildew or mould (Le. 14:34-53)
Lev 13:13
then the priest shall consider; and indeed if the leprosy has covered all his body, he shall pronounce him clean who has the sore. It has all turned
white. He is clean.
See by putting your politics first you do not see what the truth is, only what you WANT to see in the bible. You are twisting the bible to match your
beliefs.
