NEW YORK - If he chose to listen, Najibullah Zazi could hear the calls for violence all around him.

The Afghan immigrant accused of plotting a terror attack on New York City spent his earliest years in his wartorn homeland, a center of strife and fighting against a Soviet invasion and, after the occupiers left, clashing warlords.

When Zazi was a teenager, his family shared a Queens apartment building and worshipped with an imam linked to a former Afghan warlord later identified by the U.S.

Okay, so this Afghani who traveled to Pakistan and is apparently linked to Al Qeada/Al Qadia (why so many spellings?) was caught by the F.B.I. in a plot.

According to this story he is described as the perfect "lone wolf" type in that he is described by a friend :

"He was a very normal, very life-loving guy," said Naiz Khan, who befriended Zazi nearly 10 years ago when the two teenagers attended the same mosque and high school in Queens.

But, just how many people have actually read anything about the history of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the involvement of the C.I.A. assisting the Mujahideen through covert financing of the Cold War in order to kick Russia out?

If you have watched Charlie Wilson's War, the Hollywood adaption of the two books above and a closer look at Operation Cyclone you might know just how involved our Government was in training these men as well as Osama bin Laden's role.

I am not stating this absolves Zazi in any way whatsoever, but it is interesting that they fail to ever point out the connection of Osama, the Mujahideen, Al Queada, and the Al Saud family, rulers of Saudia Arabia in any of this nonsense.

The Al Saud family has been secretly assisting us for decades as a cut-out of covert financing when and where it will, when asked, like when Reagan asked King Fahd to assist the Contras in the now scandalous Iran/Contra debacle that is almost ancient history.

One has to truly wonder why someone, anyone, for that matter, would act out in violence because of their beliefs, unless they were under severe threat of life threatening danger and were in fear of losing their life, which is in fact, self-defense.

No matter anyone's particular beliefs, whether they see the Government as benevolent, or if they see them as the evil entity, or the Great Satan like those of the Middle East are wont to call our Government and country, that they would attack it physically, is to me, one of the few if very idiotic things to do.

It is reminiscent in fact to me of the Crusades of the Middle Ages, the Dark Ages, where people went off to war based upon their religion, and anyone who would let their religion inspire in them violence, whether by false belief, designed and manipulated belief, or misdirected belief, is rather dull and mindless as a barbarian.

And, that goes for both sides of the battle, not just the Middle Easterner's who are lead astray by some Mullah, but by those within the boundaries of the United States as well.

War, unfortunately, is about as hybrid an activity, as a McDonalds franchise, someone has to buy the burger, but first someone has to fry it up, season it with salt and pepper, throw ketchup, mustard, onions, and pickles on it as well.

It just depends on who buys it, who takes a bite of it, and who swallows it first.

Then, what comes out in the toilet afterward, that is the crap sold to us via the media.

those in the middle east are not cartoon cut outs .

it is beyond the reach of the thinking mind , open to conceptual ideas , focus'd on personal concerns of self intrest , and born in to this world of luxury and wealth to understand who these people are and how they think .

it is not that they are primitives , subhuman or stupid .
far more simple is the answer .

you live on a diffrent planet .

they see you as a being stepping out of a ufo , and they are gods first blessed child.

you are a vile , evil , wick'd person . you fowl the air , water , soil and thought .

death only improves your worthless and empty life .

your children are worth less than the air they displace , and the world will need to be clean's of any hint of you and your being here.

they don't hate you , that is nonsense , no more than you hate a shark .
you have no fraim of refrance , you have no point of veiw that can help you understand people of the middle east .

the only answer is a level of violance which will keep people of the middle east so afraid of shark , that they stay out of the water .

the people of the middle east are not bad people .
they are not any diffrent from us .
with the tiny difficulty.. they have , will now , and will in the future ... kill you with out an explanation that we can ever understand .

they will kill all homosexuals with out hesitation .
they will kill all the sexual freedom , and alternative 'love' types
they will slap down all women with a word in their mouth.
they will remove all who beleive anything but their god veiw.
they will kill all communists , marxists and socialists .

and you hug the tree types will just love these guys ...

they will do here what they do there .
..so.. party on peace and love types ... snuggle up to them terror types ... cuz your gunna get just what your asking for ...

what the people of the middle east understand is fear .
and you have not the slightest clue who thes people are .
they have as much in common with you as a ufo does with the stone age .

with one tiny diffrence .
they are fighting for their lives , they are commited to your death and their survival .

and most who read these words , want fairness , world love and a sustainable enviromental policy.

they are not bad people , they are not even a tiny bit diffrent from you .
but you have not a tiny clue who these people are.

Well, I have to say, that was an interesting reply, nonetheless.

However, I am seeing that both sides are wrong, both sides are being lied to.

Both sides are being mislead into action.

Government lies to enact an action...

Government will feed facts to anyone who is hungry...

Government will use religion, whether it is supposed to, or not...

Well what makes you think Zazi is a guilty man and not just a dude who is in deep stuff because he threatened to sue the fed for violating his rights on a yearly basis by searching through his apartment every September 11th...

Just to show a muslim they could do what ever they wanted to in the name of 911?

frankly the people on our side don't beleive in people .

the people of the middle east , on the whole are struggling to keep their lights on and food on the table .
the lies they hear are not any better than ours ..
but the people telling the lies , more often than not , don't know that they are telling lies.

most are born into a brutal world , have no beleif in anything , and follow the loudest voice that doesn't get them killed .
frankly , if the money is good they will follow that lie .

if you have a problem with zazi... its remarkable he is still alive .
more likly than not , the bigger picture is , he is connected to something larger than himself .

best answer , start killing his loved ones , and make sure he knows when ,who , and where .

but lets start with the gay soldiers , they get to step to the front.

lets have the peace protestors step to the front... send them over to the war front and work things out with these nice islamic ' misunderstood ' holy warriors .

I never said the man was guilty, or for that matter, innocent.

Did you read what I wrote, at all?

I said, basically, that we as citizens, on both sides of the oceans, are being lied to.

As well, some people, foolish enough to listen to those lies, act out through ignorance.

This means that there are people who are being spoon-fed lies, and then because of their own ignorance's, biases, or religious upbringings, buy into the hype.

I could say just the same exact thing of the men who are F.B.I. Agents arresting Zazi, as a matter of fact, not that I am or am not, but we as citizens of this planet Earth must know that we are in fact easily lead astray from our purpose here on Terra Firma, whatever that purpose may in fact be, whether we know we are being mislead, whether in fact we know our purpose, or whether in fact we agree or disagree, or even agree to disagree.

Earth, this tiny little dust ball being the third rock from the Sun, has beings inhabiting it, who are fallible, from the common man, all the way up to the President's, King's, and Dictator's that rule over whichever sovereign nation that they happen to rule through whatever machinations of happenstance that got them there to begin with.

Terrorism is a misnomer, because it is a loosely defined word, left vague and innocuous, because when that word begins in fact to be defined by a more set, rigid, and easier defined value, we in fact here on this planet are totally screwed because this is when our Government's, respectively, will throw in the farce of keeping up appearances, and the Nazi Concentration Camps will begin to look like Cub Scout Daycamp.

Talking on some things I read else where on ATS..... I have been following this story here for awhile now.... The conjecture and the Lies.... But honestly I was just trying to give your thread a thoughtful bump.

That is because people are in fact lazy as Hell and want to believe, blindly, or otherwise, in a benevolent entity, called Government.

The fact of the matter is however, that Government, is made up of people, both innocent, naive and vile and corrupt, that are fallible, make mistakes, have agendas, and as well either do not consider the ramifications of their actions, or have no inclination nor ability to do so.

People amaze me sometimes, that they do not think, or they think only so deep as in surface level, and do not consider there may in fact be more to a story.

One of my prior girlfriends was like this, she did not dwell on anything deep, and I would talk to her of issues revolving around politics, and she would literally drown in the conversation because of her ingrained and indoctrinated belief that no one would ever be so evil as to blow up another person, unless they were in fact, a terrorist.

She was a shallow human, meaning intelligence-wise, not looks, and when I would try to talk to her of anything having to do with politics, it was literally like watching another human being curling up into the little rolly-polly beetle with armor, because of her ignorance.

If people only took the time to read more deeply beneath the surface they might actually come to an understanding simultaneously, that people, in power, will do almost anything to gain and or retain power, including label one person a terrorist, while they sit behind their desks hiding behind a pen and paper and in fact they are in essence committing an act of terror just by the stroke of their ink.

Well, I appreciate the consideration, no offense meant in what may have sounded like a rebuke.

I have not followed the story like I probably should be, because to me it may be yet another fabricated piece of nonsense, but I just did not see the reason to skip posting the Breaking Alternative News because I remembered there were like four or so threads concerning it, I just happened to be the first person who saw it this morning and jumped upon it.

I considered going and posting an updated, with this link, in each of them, but just did not want to take the time, because as far as I see ATS'ers keep apprised well enough on their own for the most part.

Thanks for the rhetorical thought as well as the nudge to the top.
