The United Nations fact-finding mission into the Gaza offensive describes Israel as perpetrating war crimes - a police state which persecutes minorities - and tars the Palestinian leadership in the Gaza Strip and West Bank with similar accusations.
If its findings and recommendations are accepted, the International Criminal Court in The Hague could call a summit meeting between the leaders of Israel, Hamas and the Palestinian Authority on the defendants' stand.
But the ultimate adjudicator on the report's fate will be Barack Obama, who now has another whip with which to flay Benjamin

No offense, but when did Israel ever care what the UN thought about them? I say this not in a flippant way, but Israel what do whatever it deems in it's best interest, regardless of world opinion. There is not much hand wringing in Israel over it's treatment of Gaza.

Well in light of these revelations, is it really that far-fetched to believe what the germans said of the jews during world war 2, and if it turns out that what they said was the truth then it means we've all been living a lie, and that millions upon millions of innocents were murdered for nothing.

That's a blindly ignorant statement that ignores every fact about the nazi's. You should be ashamed of yourself! You cannot be that old if you think so naively!

"It is the duty of Israeli leaders to explain to public opinion, clearly and courageously, a certain number of facts that are forgotten with time. The first of these is that there is no Zionism, colonialization, or Jewish State without the eviction of the Arabs and the expropriation of their lands." -- Ariel Sharon, Israeli Foreign Minister, addressing a meeting of militants from the extreme right-wing Tsomet Party, Agence France Presse, November 15, 1998.
“I want to tell you something very clear: Don't worry about American pressure on Israel. We, the Jewish people, control America, and the Americans know it." — Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon
“One million Arabs are not worth a Jewish fingernail." — Rabbi Yaacov Perrin (NY Daily News, Feb. 28, 1994, p.6)
"We must use terror, assassination, intimidation, land confiscation, and the cutting of all social services to rid the Galilee of its Arab population." -- David Ben-Gurion, May 1948, to the General Staff. From Ben-Gurion, A Biography, by Michael Ben-Zohar, Delacorte, New York 1978.
"This country exists as the fulfillment of a promise made by God Himself. It would be ridiculous to ask it to account for its legitimacy." -- Golda Meir, Le Monde, 15 October 1971
"We walked outside, Ben-Gurion accompanying us. Allon repeated his question, What is to be done with the Palestinian population?' Ben-Gurion waved his hand in a gesture which said 'Drive them out!" -- Yitzhak Rabin, leaked censored version of Rabin memoirs, published in the New York Times, 23 October 1979.
"Played golf today with Joe Kennedy (Joseph P, Kennedy, who was Roosevelt's Ambassador to Great Britain in the years immediately before the war). I asked him about his conversation with Rossevelt and Neville Chamberlain from 1939 on. He said Chamberlain's position in 1938 was that England had nothing with which to fight and that she could not risk going to war with Hitler. Kennedy's view: That Hitler would have fought Russia without any later conflict with England if it had not been for Bullitt's (William C. Bullitt, a half-Jew, then Ambassador to France) urging on Roosevelt in the summer of 1939 that the Germans must be faced down about Poland; neither the French nor the British would have made Poland a cause of war if it had not been for the constant needling from Washington. Bullitt, he said, kept telling Roosevelt that the Germans wouldn't fight. Kennedy that they would, and that they would overrun Europe. Chamberlain, he says, stated that America and the world Jews had forced England into the war." If Forrestal's information regarding the impulses behind the recent war needed any confirmation, they have already had it from the outspoken statements of Mr. Oswald Pirow, former South African Defence Minister, who told the Associated Press on the 14th January, 1952, in Johannesburg that "Chamberlain had told him that he was under great pressure from World Jewry not to accommodate Hitler."
