You would interested to know that the Manhattan is merely a small small part of New York city and by far the most developed portion of the greatest city in the world - the reason why there are millions of people who choose to live in this great city and in Manhattan; out of choice.

And maybe the fact that the "millions" of people who live are some of the most prosperous people on the planet that own most of the other cities in the world negates the absurd claim of London owning anything other than their own decrepit city.

And also add to this fact that not since the time George Washington stormed Manhattan guns blazing towards the end of the Revolutionary War have the British ever set foot on Manhattan with any semblance of power.

They don't have to set foot on it with any semblence of power since they contractually own title and deed to it, along with about half the rest of the world.

Read the treaties, its all in Black and White.

Or cling to your text book notions and your illusion.
