Good sir, why do we even need to watch the good people of this glorious planet of ours?

Evil is only done in the darkness. The darkness they should be watching

Ptfff I don't care if they steal my stuff, I have never listed any sensitive information on there. Plus I've got nothing to hide.

If people wanna put all sorts of personal info on there and think no one can access it, they're either naive or misinformed, maybe both?

I uploaded the Obama 'Joker' poster to a random photo album. They can take that if they want.

" As-if " people who don't use facebook are safe? I don't use facebook, but no doubt there are several ways they profile us anyway. I'm so glad I'm safe here on ATS.

... and those "access your computer anywhere" adverts make me shudder, do people really do that ??

Of course they do, by the thousands... And they happily pay for these "services" which can be easily exploited by big bro.

It is even more humorous that both online back-up and "go to my PC" services are being advertised heavily and primarily by the most popular right wing talk radio hosts.

Got to get the "targeted audience" demographic? (opposition)

Don't forget to use the special offer codes when opening a new account: RUSH, BECK, HANNITY you can get as much as 50% off of your new subscription when you do!

I don't know if this is related and it seems far fetched but I've been wondering about parents having to sign something so their child can be or not have to be forced to watch barry 's conditioning secession at school.
What do they do with the signed doc's?
Does this give 'them' a list of who is for and who is against barry's
agenda?

This is absolutely disgusting. Everyday the government is working its way into our lives and people just blindly call him the greatest president ever. I actually caught myself looking at tax rates in Canada today. Only about 20% for someone making around 50k a year.....A lot less than the U.S.

This is suprising how?

Yes, the gov reads facebook, myspace, twitter, etc...sorta their job to know whats going on.

and incidently, if you dont think ATS is being captured and read through, with profiles being built...your living in dreamland.

and what does it matter? none...until the day you start instituting real plans for violence, riots, etc...then you will be none the wiser.

I would think everyone in the country has a file out there on them, and for the most part, theres nothing of interest in em...but they are still out there.

The sheep have been branded long ago..I would venture to say since the 50s, if not earlier.

and no, the federal government doesnt care of Joe went to a kegger last night and had some sweet kush

WHAT??????????
You dont think they are watching you now and what you write on top secret? You are more likely to be targeted for your conspiracy theories on top secret than Facebook or Myspace Twitter. DUHHH. their going to target sites like these first. LOL

Anyways you shoulnt be surprised about this one bit. Its part of the ball game. Anyone that has any clue about where technology is heading or what it is, knows that we are all going to be recorded, ALL our information and anything we ever put online will be recoreded due to the fact we have the power and Technological advances to do so.

For people that think Facebook/ Myspace are stupid. JUST WAIT. These Social media platforms will be come even more interactive until people will meet face to face across the globe and interact with eachother without even leaving their house. Something Like a hologram apperaing in your living room, maybe needing language software to communicate. Employers will rely soley on social media to hire.
YOU DONT BELIEVE ME? Research for yourself.
Technology is advancing at a super rate. Something like doubling every 6 months. WE are able to hold double the information and power at a faster rate and this is doubling every six months.

Does anybody actually think what we put on the internet is NOT monitored?

Anything connected to the internet is scanned, monitored, and reported automatically. There are even programs written to look behind the lines so that if somebody uses the word "hamburger," for example, in an inappropriate way the message gets flagged and read by a live person.

Glad to see the general public might hear about this though!

Computer backup companies will be the norm within a year. As devices get smaller EVERYONE WILL have there # backed up. EVERYONE. Its the FUTURE whether you like it or not. At first maybe it will be used for invasion of privacy. But soon it will be the norm for all. And you think you have allot of things on your CPU now, just wait.

This isnt my opinion either. Its a future forecast, formulated from research and emerging technological sites. It will be the norm. You should start your own back-up company It will be profitable.

I had a facebook account but recently deleted it and hopefully they will have completely deleted it. I don't want my information out there for anyone to see.

um guys, ATS is more dangerous than Facebook.

I don't think the CIA gives a damn for your pals and holiday pics.
But if you become too vocal or discovered a threatening truth and post on a site like ATS, that will get you in their sight.

And as other pointed out, the CIA can find out everything about you easily and without the need of FB, specially if you are american.

So i am laughing at those who dismiss FB users as blind fools.
I will conceide that if you have a FB account and one day you decide to do something the govt doesnt like, it will be much easier for them to find you.

Uggghhh, again, I'm not a fan of what our president's doing but I'm tired of hearing about it like it's something new and only a socialist or fascist would talk to our children that way. Bush Sr. and Reagan did the same thing:

"um guys, ATS is more dangerous than Facebook."

Truly, you are a genius. It is amazing to me that more people don't see this. Who cares about the pictures of your trip to Florida when you're posting everything about your political viewpoints here on ATS.

I do agree with you, people such as ourselves on ATS whom express a more vivid opinion, would be prompted for surveillance in case of a possible organisation in which it would challenge the power of an elite body whom has support of a power body or is the power body.

"Barry's" Agenda? Do you honestly think this started with, and will end with, "Barry?"

I thought bush was bad, but I know realize he was just a test to see how far we could be manipulated and pushed...

From there they determined how much they could get away with based on his 8 years in office..

Now they know they can pretty much do whatever because there are so many people that call people crazy even if they just question what is going on...

They conquer by dividing us......

pathetic really that we fall for it over and over again....

Straight 'from the horses mouth' I was told that police have access to a facebook account that can view any ones profile regardless of the security settings. The only thing they dont have access to at the moment is personal messages.

There have been much harsher campaigns being run in real like though. I think it was last year or two years ago the Police in Vancouver photographed I think between 4-8000 people who were labeled criminal 'associates'.

If someone could find that article it would be greatly appreciated, It seems to have vanished into thin air.

It was only a matter of time before the internet became/becomes heavily regulated, I don't think you will stop it, but at least you have a choice of whether or not to go on it or use it. Walking down the street, being stopped and having your picture taken is what people need to be afraid of, because there have been signs things are headed in that direction...

"Papers? Where are your papers? No, Papers... Come with me!"
